Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

Immaterialism 2

Post by ParanoidFactoid on Mon Nov 05, 2018 3:14 am

First topic message reminder :

Dearest Footloose,

Your continued defense of Hitler implies preference for a future nobody wants to relive. Screw the BPW if this is what you guys call "best". See 99's photo of a mass grave to help with your perspective. And if that doesn't help, you are forever lost. This is not a 'values' question. It is a test of basic humanity. Fail it and you fail yourself first and foremost.

The Way of the Leaf is free and unassuming

When the wind blows it dances effortlessly among the clouds

When winter comes it dies and falls back to the earth

In the darkness of the night it reflects the light of the moon back into the heavens

In the heat of the day it casts shadows on the ground

Smelly rulz. Seriously, best post.
If you haven’t started watching Maniac I highly recommend it. It’s one of those that takes several episodes but does a great job of showing shadow work in a very creative world of technology and pharmacology.

Dan,
How long have you known Foot?

Now I don’t know if the Foot that posts here is Ron or not or if he works for the CIA or DIA or did, but let the smelly goat share another nugget, be positive.

What is the alternative, to be negative, not in the BPW, in the BPW, we think the best and must assume the best.

Seeing has shown me beyond any doubt we are ALL connected to everything.

Will I cut my finger off to spite my hand?

Or gouge out my eyes to see no evil?

Think the best, even when others are confused, especially then, which will be almost all the time in this dark age of ignorant muppets.

Dan,

Just remember to take it easy and enjoy the ride.

Also, take it easy on the wine and take care of your body and mind.

Furthermore, stay off the Campuses maybe.

If you build it they will come to you.

There’s no hurry.

Remember, nature does not rush about in a hurry, yet everything is accomplished.

That’s all the advice I have, but as always, do what though wilt.

Life is the best teacher if you allow yourself to be teachable.

I don’t know, maybe your just having some fun, just remember not to take yourself too seriously old man.

I really have no idea what’s going on with Dan and disclosure.

Our biggest problem is that we have no problems.

Carry on

Now that I’ve been fired as Chicken Little, I’ve asked Ron to write a letter of recommendation for my next job.  But wait a minute, how do you go about firing Chicken Little?  That’ll be a trick.

And, yes, Sumana and I did compare mountains.  Hers was almost two miles higher than mine.  It’s really not fair, is it?

And Ron keeps saying that the Holocaust was fake news.  And I say to Ron that that’s the problem with fake news..... sometimes it sticks.  Hitler just played right into their hands.  You almost have to feel sorry for the poor little guy.  I know that I do...... a fellow Chicken Little...... a veritable antichrist.

And I say to Sumana...... we’re looking for a girl to match our mountains.

And explain this to me, Ron........ how can Buddy Bolton be a spy for Hal Puthoff, if Hal is working for you?  Please, explain that one.

10:10(gmt-4)........

I mean, look, Ron, the j-man was fake news, and, brother, he had sticking power. There’s nothing left for the little chicken, but to be the anti-j-man....... boo-hoo........

dd,

That sounds positively scrumptious.

And about the anti-stuff......... if you knew your physics, like I know my physics, you would know that when stuff and anti-stuff collide, all that it can do is give off light........ photons.

I bet that even our smelly smarty pants didn’t know that........ did you smelly.....?

PF,

Well, I always did want a worms eye view of things.

Highly energetic light. Suitable as pure fusion detonators, for example.

It's time for Ron to shave his head and go carry a torch at the next Stormfront rally.

PF,

Yeah, I hadn’t thought of that....... a detonator actuator...... those are the best kind of photons.

Yes, our next Stormfront rally is likely to be at either Georgetown or George Washington, wherever my little Sherpa girl is not a nursing student.

I’m afraid there may have to be a threesome.......

Decisions..... decisions.......

The Swede is coming to town...... and then there is Malcolm in the middle...... Katarina. Life is not easy, if you’re gonna be an antichrist. Woe is me.

Funny synchronicity...

“If the breaking of the day sees someone proud,
The ending day sees them brought low.

...

God keeps our lives hurtling on,
Spinning in a whirlwind.”

—Seneca, Thyestes, 613

Pain in this universe is a feature, not a bug.

“Some things are in our control and others not. Things in our control are opinion, pursuit, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever are our own actions. Things not in our control are body, property, reputation, command, and, in one word, whatever are not our own actions.” —Epictetus

Let’s be honest, most of us don’t know how to think and see that every second is fire and alive.

Most of us are caught in a whirlwind and can’t see straight or understand it.

I think so too.  I would have added in 100 year anniversary of Russian Revolution, but figured the Qanon premiere covered that.
