Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

I wrote a fine little poem on prickly goo, shrug.

    We have to intertwine.

We don’t get to cherry pick Awareness.

We transcend reason ultimately and give way to the subtle where the changeless and the changing interact, that’s the source of Genius and all art and science.

With an open mind you can see Jesus and Mary Magdelene in the poem of Parmenides’ interactions with Persephone, the Goddess of the underworld.

Those with closed minds due to pride and ignorance will argue and spit venom.

The gods are expressionless while we rant and rave.

So silence is what brings them close to us and us to them.

They represent something so fundamental in us.

If one has not cultivated silence and patience, they are not following along very well and where life could be a dream, it’s a nightmare for them and they will make it a nightmare for any near them.

I’ve been the saint and the asshole and I have heard the Gods in their profound silence.

Though, I’m sure I have seen them crack a smile once or twice.

A wise muppet can shift the focus of attention away from superficial answers towards discovering what they hadn’t realized, they are already carrying around the answers inside.

A clueless muppet wouldn’t come to OMF. They would preach against this place.

This is a place you can come and learn to taste death and walk in the underworld and speak to the gods.

You have to lay down in darkness and silence and then see what happens!!!

Of course they would hate and not understand it.

They were born and made ignorant.

There is no ignorance here, only silent darkness, where all thought ends and words make circles.

It’s true beauty to behold, awesome...whoaaaa.

    Bahahaha bleeted the crazy goat.

Message to Dan: Every so often you pop into one of my dreams and it happened again just before I woke up this morning. That it happens at all completely escapes me and it not only weirds me out when you do that but it's pretty annoying too. Please stop doing that. thanks

Note to self: Buy a drone and fly it to Dan's house to find out (will have drone stationed unobtrusively outside a window there) what he really looks like in his natural state. I don't think he's one of us.
Also, find out if there are cloaking devices for drones. Wink

smelly is cursed to playing the fringes of the Monad.  He plays the Moon, which, however, is, obviously, an important, even life giving role.

You can’t play the Moon without the Sun, of course.

We live in the Moons shadows.  smelly is a shadow whisperer, verbose though he may be, he does speak softly.

    99,

I do apologize.  My omnipresence is sometimes difficult for me to control.  Have fun with your drone, I loved my Parrot.

The Greeks invented personalism, following Parmenides.

Jesus stole their Monad....... the rest of the world lived in its shadow, until the Antichrist made the scene.

The long knives are out for the Antichrist, but that scoundrel, foot, is my protector..... so is donny, just by extension.  Poor PaulP is caught in the middle of the storm, and is not sure which way is up.  With AP and BK taking themselves to one side, PP is our last communicator.

But speaking of protection, smelly is my in house shield, thank you very much.

And he’s correct, that we might have something halfway precious here, however much he hates to acknowledge the chicken little role.  My mother warned me about the smellies, bless her heart.

Yes, smelly does fifty shades of gray, and I only do three or four, but he is very patient with my obtusivity.

smelly is infatuated with the abyss, at least in contrast to being cozy by the fireplace, like me.  I love the Brady Bunch.

I’m not sure that the Abyss exists...... like the singularity of a black hole...... no witnesses.  Some claim to have seen the event horizon.

Potency exists.  Parmenides embraced it..... named it.

    Outside of potency.......?

The Monad embraces the Abyss...... when it inhales.  That inhalation is Atlas, holding up the sky....... giving the rest of us room to breath.

smelly has so much difficulty embracing his nemesis, chicken little.

He thinks I might bite.  No.  I’m the good cop.  PP is amazed to discover that there is a professional biter on board.  He comes gratis, along with a princess, guardian of the Hive.

smelly claims to be a mortal.  He embraces his death.  I believe in death, also.  What would life be without death?  An unmitigated nightmare.

smelly does not go quietly into the good night. He is too busy beating his macho chest.

Death is our magical night. It is our compulsory portal to the Monad. And as much as I attempt to embrace Hitler, I don’t think we’d recognize him on the other side. He might not recognize himself.

....... I’ll be heading out early.......

Post by Post Eschaton Punk Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:38 am

I explored the primary thing I heard in Jesus’ words, to live, you must die while living. I am not obcessed with the Abyss, but the underworld called and I picked up.

I dialed the crazy phone at its compulsion. It compels.

This force compels one onward, it makes us breath and we dance out seemingly silly absurd lives with leaders like children, if we could only find the whole children, the ship will set itself. And it all happens at home, the one hopefully we learn to build.

I don’t live outside in cold rain, I live under cozy blankets in warmth.

Funny, it feels like I’m in the heart of it and most I meet live on the fringes on scraps, where my table is always full.

These muppets I meet are on life support I see. I see the terror in them. I feel it. I smell it.

Terror is such a misunderstanding as is anger, here and gone, important messengers though.

They can barely get through a day and if you ask them what anything meant, they just give you that vacant muppet stare.

People have separated themselves into good and bad and it’s a real confusion and distortion of reality.

I am sharing the view from the underworld, which I will always do, where such distinctions don’t exist.

Life is a guesthouse. My mansion has many rooms and I have many guests.

My verbosity is an overflowing effluence of love I have offloaded into my own special interest thread on the union of philosophy and mysticism, something unfortunately you can’t do it seems, but that is the work I was born to, no doubts.

The greatest mystery is the connection inside us to all things.

Do I feel I speak for the dead, yes, as a bridge to my self. I have come across these still statues inside, but somehow we communicate. It is the act of connecting the words to our experience that is magic and awesome.

If no one is looking this way, that’s understandable, people want a winner and loser, we all win all the time. The universe is not filled with dark sinister forces to me, it’s filled with the most beautiful, terrible in its consuming creative surging, purple dark light.

    Breathin is achieven.

    smelly,

So you are a Jesus freak, after all. Being born again is a precious gift.

You suppose that we, muppets, are just being stupid and lazy.

You don’t sufficiently appreciate us. But that’s ok. You’re just being the best possible smelly goat.

And you realize there is no Death..... just death.

We are two sides of that coin....... tweedle dee and tweedle not so dumb.

Jesus stole that from Parmenides Wink

We are stars walking on earth.

So the true Jesus I know well, not the empty one sold to the masses.

To truly live, one must die while alive, that is the heart of all of it.

Religions are just distant echoes of what is always streaming from the source inside us.

I know now how almost all of the Jesus myth was repackaged by the Romans.

Their Genius was how they could integrate other cultures around commerce with a strong hand.

It’s cool, anyone can go to the underworld and learn truth.

I will always help people make that journey, it is my destiny, not a bad gig if you can find the work.

Do I claim to be Jesus?

You don’t make distinctions like that in the underworld, the source of our world.

Christ is just part of the trinity, use whatever names you like.

My beef with you, is your intolerance of the role of the underworld and the role it plays using irrational and rational experience. Also your attachment to a single religious tradition is not truly fulfilling their historical prophecy.

Restoring the connection between irrational and real is all that’s happening now and it couldn’t ever be truly disconnected. As nothing is disconnected or separate, we can truly have no beef.

My only intention is that people learn to make the journey themselves. My underworld experience was mine, as was the journey made by Jesus and Budda and Parmenides and Lao.

I think Buddha got the closest and provided the best bridges to the real world.

You can learn directly from these states of consciousness things in no book.

That’s incredible enough. All of our culture is rooted in the mystic underworld.

Our world emanates from it. This is an illusory world, things have many sides, seen and unseen and one should pay attention and listen and be silent until they know.

My evidence is I AM breathing under a Sun Moon and Stars and matter moves in conformance with my will Wink

    The will to be
    The will to see
    The will to know
    The will to be known
The will to realize the best here always

Awareness and the Logos allow us to judge what is the best way to act. Our connection to the underworld is long hidden. I aim to bring this awareness into conscious life in all my acts of Will. And in this the Cosmos is well pleased. It shows me it is pleased.

I’m sure this is just make believe.

    My intolerance of the underworld........?!

Tell that to the queen of the Hive.

Also your attachment to a single religious tradition is not truly fulfilling their historical prophecy.

Woe is me........ stuck between the king of Heaven and the queen of the Hive.

    It’s all good.

    We have no beef.

We are stuck together like goo.

    Prickly goo.

    Hive/Underworld
    Goddess/Princess
    Chicken/Goat
    Hero/Fiend
    God/Muppet

Makes a funny kind of sense, nothing is cut and dry, it’s gooey.

Can you hear the Joker chucking in the background during the final scene of a Dark Knight?

    Hahaha

I’m loving the Dark Knight/Joker archetypes lately, they make such a great dynamic pairing.

The Dark Knight is a badass but the Joker has a little secret that gives him that permanent grin.

I wonder if Lau Tzu was chuckling at himself as he rode his water buffalo west into the sunset, as the tale goes, never to be seen again?

(Note: In the East, the West is a symbol for death)

    Lol

The Joker helps us make sure we never take our role playing games too seriously...

    clown

Loosen up Dark Knight, he says, It’s just a ride.

I found a graphic novel in a box in my basement yesterday called X’ed Out. It is a trippy book where he keeps waking up and you can’t tell which parts are his dreams or which are his waking life.

I have no idea where the book came from. I’ve never seen it before in my life. My brother is into graphic novels so I’m assuming it is his and got mixed up with my books.

The last scene of the book showed some alien hybrid creatures pulling a cart down the street with the main characters girlfriend sitting in the back wearing a crown. A guy on the street tells him that it looks like they found the next queen of the hive as the cart disappears down the street headed in the direction of a giant hive looking building.

I need to get the next book and finish reading it. The next one is called, you guessed it, The Hive.

Bees creep me out honestly, but bees with boobs makes sense to me some how Wink

I want to keep some bees if I get the chance and not use a mask.

    Masks are for muppets.

I enjoy the earthy smell of honey.

That sticky sweetness is to die for.

We can and will have it all.

The more we believe, the more patient we will be.

We now have a thousand years of the Goddess’ Queendom.

Some will be impatient. Some will still die in confusion.
