Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

    First topic message reminder :

This is the topic reminder post for Personalism 101.

A good place to start is right here……. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/personalism/

My contention is that the BPWH = Personalism.

    @ U & Smelly

When it comes to open dialog, I'm pretty flexible.  Having spent a decade in an all male industry I know the difference between generally good natured joking around vs outright verbal abuse.

U you do have a certain point about the behavior from the FOOT account.  But I ask you, do two wrongs make a right?  Since when do we lower ourselves to dishing out the same?  Here's the thing, we're in a time where the human race is being scrutinized by many parties for many reasons.  Being weighed and measured if you will.  Think of it like having holiday guests in your home...the impression you make.

The system inhabitants are career creatures.  They don't have exterior civilization experiences to temper values, relations, and so on.  And they get to play with matches whenever they feel like it, so there's a certain carelessness mixed with an unhindered exercise of power there.  You could say for this reason I'm not only in favor of term limits for elected officials but I'm also in favor of term limits for paid govt employees...like 2 year terms and then out.

As for what was said you mention, I'm sorry it was something I didn't witness and I can only deal directly with what I'm aware of.  The Foot team have no special privileges here.  I'd take them to task in the same way if I catch it and deem it severe enough to say something.  Now Smelly I've had to tell him in the past to cool his jets and he turned around instead of doing as instructed, took a swipe at me instead.  It's why when I now tell him to do so, I make sure he understands I remember that disrespect and that my position comes with a sledgehammer I'm not afraid to use if this chit gets out of hand.

You don't all have to always talk nice to each other, but lets remember a little bit of basic civility wears better than a trench coat dipped in a latrine pit.

    Cy

    @FOOT & company...

I've got a flurry of reports about (weaponized) Ebola on the roam again.  Liberty Community recommending quarantine & testing be initiated at all airports, port of entry, and border....now not after its inside CONUS.

And I will add this reminder in regards to the "ebola vaccine" Merck found and is suggesting to be used...: in 2016 we were getting info from a whistleblower who was telling us the weaponized Ebola would not be used as COVID was because the vaccine was hot...it was evolving "hotter" in the storage vials.  Thus there was no way at the time to control it.  Why they went with the 'triparte' flu we now call Covid.

FYI.  The LC suggestion for quarantine & testing & border closure is a good idea.

    Dan

I see personalism now has a wiki.

"Personalists believe that the person should be the ontological and epistemological starting point of philosophical reflection. Many are concerned to investigate the experience, the status, and the dignity of the human being as person, and regard this as the starting-point for all subsequent philosophical analysis."

I can see where this makes sense as far as a starting point due to human individual bias's which are formed from personal experiences, exposure to unique knowledge sets, and so on all of which can serve to color interpretation and analysis of reality.  The old addage of know thyself.

What I found interesting in the wiki for it was it did pay homage to there being many different takes on personalism and the value of it in philosophy?

Have you already gone thru and explored the various versions in relation to where you want to go with the concept?

    Thank you 99,

    We’re definitely hanging in.

More trips are in the offing, and I’m still being briefed about the last one.

    Cy,

I’m certainly going to have to check the Personalism wiki.

But I can already see a big gap.

They’re talking about beginning with personalism.

We’re talking about ending with personalism!

    Weak personalism v. strong personalism!
    …………

I’ve been unable to find a specific ‘personalism wiki’.

But just reviewing the basic statements that come up, they mostly sound stronger than what Cy is quoting above…….. gee, why don’t we start out from a personal perspective, and then see what the heck happens.

I guess this would be the more scientific approach.

I’m not pretending to be scientific.

I’m not even pretending to be objective about this issue.

    No.

Personalism is not something to be played with….. not something to be entertained.

When we get serious about personalism, we are deciding to walk through a conceptual portal.

Admittedly, most of the folks doing personalism are not making a federal case about its fundamentally radical nature…… but you don’t have to look too hard to find the unmistakable traces.

We basically have to decide if there is such a thing as Truth.

Of course, every scientist will be shrill to proclaim their unchallengeable death grip on the the Truth……. let no one dare to trespass on their hegemony.

I have no reason to suspect that this state of the global mindset is about to change within the next few years.

Am I saying that the best possible Disclosure is no disclosure?

I might have to own to that.

It might come to what Chris Straub, SSCI, told me so many years ago……. well, Dan, I guess you’ll just have to surprise us.

That’s exactly where things still stand, today.

The eye stuff is still moving slowly….. there are the occasional relapses, of course.

At least, the folks (here) are willing to admit that they don't have a clue.

I'd like see if I can be home alone for at least a few hours.

Problem is that T will be out of state, while D is returning from her anti-podal hemispheric quadrant.

Between the four (five, six…. ?) of us, we need to figure out the when and where of our next anti-podal quadrant.

.... and, we do need to figure pronto!!

In every meantime, we, of course, need to keep all relevant options open......

Updates are appreciated. I trust that exploratory surgery is a good decision especially in a situation like this.

    Quite an ordeal.

    No question about that.

    1030zulu……….

    ……….

three, I'm working on opening up a quasi-public portal right here at xxxx.

To accomplish this feat, I'll be needing your close air support, of course.

    ……..

    Txxx,

This Aliyah is not being delivered.

I’m just trying to who will be the first one to be able to respond.

…… this message to Aliyah is not being delivered to either her or Ron, so I’m just checking out my communications systems, bright and early this morning.
    Please call 📱 asap!

So, it’s a brand new day bright and early in the morning…….

Opening portals is completely about personal entanglements/nodes and the tuning thereof.

    1130………

Ok, sports fans, things are moving right along…….!

Skaizlimit was the very first to respond physically/electronically to my APB.

Skai and I are on the latitude, but opposite hemispheres…… go figure, and I think we’ll be doing a lot of figuring today..!!

I’m suspecting that the ‘left’ foot, above is Skai…….. that’s my…. to speculate in quasi ‘public’, but my phone 📱 is my only super power.

    1230……..

So, we have two quadrants live…… #’s 1&4….. clockwise numbering of the standard world map.

But then we have date quads……. Dxxxx is still in the Auckland quadrant……. not due back until very late Saturday.

Godspeed Dan! Beware of knives in the wrong hands!

Personalism is an intellectual stance that emphasizes the importance of human persons. Personalism exists in many different versions, and this makes it somewhat difficult to define as a philosophical and theological movement.

    Personalism, briefly explained:

Thanks for this very suspenseful update!

The Doppler Ultrasound Imaging Procedure sounds like the way to go.

Talk about patient right's... Chicken has every right to choose this option.

    Keep us updated!

The problem of modern hospitals, medical community, and pharma.  They are no longer trustworthy as they lay beneath the command of the all might dollar and other ulterior motives.

Don't give them an inch Chicken.  They tend to do as they please when you're not looking or have a thumb on their forehead.

    Cy,

You’ll be glad to know that I did not give them an inch……. I only gave them 0.787 inches of my right temporal lobe vein.

This compromise was due partly to the fact that the young woman on the other end of the knife used to hang with my son in high school…… and she impressed me as being very competent.

Right foot was only concerned that Katie might take my head for Halloween 🎃!

She did not…….. but we were under a deadline for her daughter’s Halloween 👻 parade.
