Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

FatThorDude is the best I got Danny.

You cannot deny anyone’s self expression, you can only work with what shows up, and evaluate their words for clarity or ignore it in light of your own agenda.

Here is how I know dan and his friends are fools and liars.

Disclosure is not a single event.

    This is a participatory world.

The world is constantly disclosing itself to you and then you respond and change in response to the real patterns.

    Mutual Disclosure.

You get a taste for reality and you break free.

You want to find the source of the gold you find in life.

But you cant stare at the sun, it is overwhelming and beyond comprehension.

All we can do is stumble around in the dark and seem to make no sense to muppets.

    Anagoge.

If you could, you would kill me.

But you can’t kill the myth of wisdom.

I am a lover of wisdom.

    I can’t help it.

Reading and writing is a spiritual exercise.

Spiritual practices increase cognition and increase connections in the brain.

Dan and I know this, any real writer and reader knows this.

What we are doing here is deeply spiritual and a philosophical practice.

I do not spend my time reading conspiracies or researching such, wasted time, but instead biographies and sages and poets and myths and history too, the roots of thinking is what I hunt in my spare time.

I’m curious about UFOs because it is a new religion.

That is fascinating to me to observe first hand.

I am an anti-priest of Disclosure.

The devout hate me of course.

    I don’t hate you.

Tell that to a psychopath and they would only grin ear to ear before they gut and then eat you.

Psychopathy seems a radical symptom of unbalanced being, the monster expressed in human form.

How many have fallen to the monster inside them?

    Where are the human beings?

    Who is being with this?

    Who is practicing wisdom?

    Join me here.

    You are invited.

Yuh form to what you spend time with.

Shall you just cavort with monsters/zombies and fear?

Some of us are earnestly seeking wisdom.

We know that doesn’t just benefit ourselves.

The universe may die a heat death, but I think this matters still.

Maybe only the shamans feel this.

    Shrug.

For those who live, this matters.

You have to wrestle with people and check your and their bad thinking.

You have to struggle with meaning, belief is cheap.

The United States is crumbling as the sages warned would happen when wisdom was forsaken.

Religions are derivative of our powerful wisdom myth.

Well, the best thing I can do then is not know or fear some unknowable invisible force, but to know myself, the one here, and bend with the ignorant.

In my experience the cosmos is not responding to us per se, we are finding or discovering reality within it, as we find it in ourselves.

And after you get a taste, nothing else will satisfy.

Prophets don’t predict the future, they warn the people when they have turned away from wisdom.

We are far off the path of wisdom.

UFOs nor princesses nor portals are gonna redeem anything, not at all.

    This is on us.

    It’s hard work.

Seneca said philosophy teaches us doing, not saying.

    Straight on.

    1440z…….

    Poor Chivo,

He has no understanding of paradigms.

He wouldn’t recognize one, if it bit him on the ass.

Modernity is synonymous with scientific materialism/dualism.

We are like fish who don’t realize that we are swimming in water, until we end up on dry land.

We are about to end up on dry land, and we don’t have a clue.

Are we just going to thrash about?

Chivo, as you may have noticed, does a lot of thrashing.

What about all the other muppets out there?

Most of us know no more about paradigms than goat boy.

Paradigms are a secret 🤫, only taught to philosophy post docs.

They are the best possible secret, at the best possible time.

The only other thing you need to know about is the psychology of gestalts.

The mother of all paradigm shifts is going to be a global gestalt switch, promulgated by the internet.

The global stage has been set……. we are just waiting for the cosmic trigger.

The biggest firewall in the world is not going to withstand the MoAPS…..  tsunami.

    1520……..

We have some new background for the aquarium……..

2 did not meet the WCM in college.

They met on a desert rendezvous.

They were together in DC for the advent of 3.

There were no rival royal clans in Kashmir.

It was the Indian intelligence service that wiped out her adoptive family.

The US intelligence service was on the scene, and involved in her transport to Islamabad.

2 did not meet Reagan at a fundraising event.  It was over several meetings at Willard S Liddy’s home.  The significant other presence at some of these meetings was Edward Teller.

Ostensibly, these meetings were about Star Wars.  Apparently, that was mostly just the cover story.

Likely, they would have been about the pod, etc……..

2 points out that most ufologists are primed for the Star Wars scenario.

Greer is a bit of an exception……. the visitors are friendly, scenario.

The PtB are going to milk the Star Wars scenario for all they can.

For how many weeks will that scenario hold up?

Greer and Firmage, however, are both paranoid about maintaining their individual hegemonies.  It will be very difficult to get through to them.

    hobbit,

    Correct.

Go to the head of the class.

Meanwhile, what are we to make of Willard?

    Were these meetings about chemistry?

Were they about radio carbon dating?

    I don’t think so.

    Were they about pods?

That might be a bit closer.

Or, perhaps, folks were beginning to realize that it’s not so much about what you know as about who you know.

This is what personalism is all about.

Isn’t this just politics as usual?

I guess you get a twofer.

    Politics as usual?

Well, with cosmic politics, we have to reckon with the I Am.

Is the I Am anything like Mayor Curley?

    You’re doing fine……..

    Just don’t worry so much.

After all, aren’t you the best possible hobbit?

Mayor Jimmy was the best possible mayor for Boston in the 1920s, etc……..

He was partly clan chief and partly shaman.

The Willard crew had the clan chief, but they were looking for the shaman.

You appear to desire a mass evacuation back to source???

This is not required as far as I am concerned as We are all here experiencing a tiny blip of eternity.

    1740z…….

    hobbit,

How is it possible to convince someone to be just a little less paranoid?

    Back to Willard……..

Shaman, shaman, whose got the shaman?

Well, foot was our spokesperson…… also our security officer.

He had to know somebody……. we’re just not quite sure who.

He was the new kid on the block.

It would be interesting to see his original resume.

His uncle was on the Glomar.  That probably counted for something.

Then there was the hiker in Glacier park who was found with a message in his backpack 🎒.  We can speculate 🤨.

Sometimes resumes can drop out of the sky 🌌.

What was the message found on the K129?

I suspect that it raised a few eyebrows.

After acknowledging lights in the sky, folks might wish to know……. message, message, who’s got the message?

When is the other shoe 👞 gonna drop?

How long can this can be kicked down the road?

Is there no message in the can?

Or is the message in the medium?

Or is the medium in the message?

Where is the Logos Spermatikos when we need it?

There must be more than a little jockeying for the pole position.

Chivo certainly believes that he has a message.

He sees little hope for being able to share it…… little desire, also.

chick 🐣 has every confidence that it can and will be shared.

    Color chick pronoid.

It’s just the right place and right time……. trigger, trigger…….

    1900…….

So how does cosmic politics differ from Boston politics?

How does the I Am differ from James Michael?

How does the Antarctic treaty differ from the treaty of Versailles?

Cosmic politics is just a bit more stage managed.

There is a little bit more helicopter 🚁 parenting.

    Are we spoiled?

Mundane politics is a bit more rough and tumble.

It’s just a question of finding the best possible balance.

    …………..

Philosophy postdocs don't know shit today.

    You have to live this.

Idiots mostly and academics with no power.

    See Pierre Hadot.

I've gone way beyond modern philosophy postgrads.

Here is a sample from a clueless one.

"One important idea that I’ve just barely begun to scratch the surface on is that all notions of philosophical therapy presuppose some kind of philosophical anthropology. The whole notion of akrasia and overcoming it towards some kind of eudaimonia (well-being) implies that there has to be some kind of on-going practical exercise that develops the kinds of habits that make you a more capable person. These practical exercises are what Foucault refers to as “technologies of the self” and what Pierre Hadot refers to as “spiritual exercises” (Foucault 1990; Hadot 1995).

You have to practice philosophy, so...

One can study and practice “technologies of the self”, until you do, you are clueless.

    You are the trigger.

There is no waiting, there is doing.

You can't stand on modern philosophy.

    It's myopic.

You have to relearn it all within context.

The Stoics had a program to help one think rationally and not react from emotion.

This was also the goal of Socrates and Plato's projects.

Pierre Hadot has done some incredible but controversial work in this area.

Academics are not better suited for this exploration, I'd say they are greatly hobbled.

"Wittgenstein had claimed that philosophy was an illness of language and Hadot notes that the cure required a particular type of literary genre.

Hadot is also famous for his analysis of the conception of philosophy during Greco-Roman antiquity. He identified and analyzed the "spiritual exercises" used in ancient philosophy (influencing the thought of Michel Foucault in the second and third volumes of his History of Sexuality). By "spiritual exercises" Hadot means "practices ... intended to effect a modification and a transformation in the subjects who practice them. The philosophy teacher's discourse could be presented in such a way that the disciple, as auditor, reader, or interlocutor, could make spiritual progress and transform himself within." Hadot shows that the key to understanding the original philosophical impulse is to be found in Socrates. What characterizes Socratic therapy above all is the importance given to living contact between human beings.

Hadot's recurring theme is that philosophy in Antiquity was characterized by a series of spiritual exercises intended to transform the perception, and therefore the being, of those who practice it; that philosophy is best pursued in real conversation and not through written texts and lectures; and that philosophy, as it is taught in universities today, is for the most part a distortion of its original, therapeutic impulse. He brings these concerns together in What Is Ancient Philosophy?, which has been critically reviewed."

I am as always, only concerned with how to best to live now.

You really need to catch up on John Vervaeke's work.

The world is always disclosing itself.

As far as I can see, you are not serious about this work Dan.

You think you have secret inside access, I call bullshitz.

    Do you know your insides?

Yes, philosophy has worked its way to a dead end of reductionism and/or a contemplation of one’s own navel.

This is a form of mental constipation.

We’re not going to get out of this miasma without mutual understanding.

You are the Katechon against such understanding.

I’m not sure what pleasure you derive from this posture.

    It is very self centered.

It is a sign of our times. Enjoy it while it lasts.

    Mutual disclosure.

    Ur analysis is ridiculous.

    You are a blockhead.

You can only address your own limited emotional responses to being.

    There are no magick words.

You are welcome to your nonsense about disclosure and princesses and portals and being Jesus.

I’d never follow you a step further than I could throw you.

You have this mind disease yourself evidently.

None of these muppets know enough to challenge you.

Why you continue to cling to these ideas is beyond me.

    Rubbish.

    Enjoy.

The trumper and conspiracy nuts have a severe mental disease tied to their awful reasoning going with lies and the emotions they can raise.

It’s a new religion, I consider all religions cults.

It goes hand in hand with vaccine denial.

Surround yourself with people who tell you what you want to hear and you can live on the emotional kick moment to moment and destroy your life and the earth as you go.

    What is needed?

    For each to heal themselves.

    We need to relax.

But when the trump muppet moron hears what they don’t like, they dig into their disease even further.

    The enlightenment did not fail.

    Not at all.

The error that branched off of it has failed.

And religion has only made it worse.

Religion is derivative of the big game.

These are games we are playing.

I am not talking about mysticism or afterlife, I’m talking about how best to live your precious life.

If you are counting on a reset of all of this, that’s improbable and bad thinking.

I will give a prophecy, the longer we stay away from wisdom, the longer and more we will suffer.

Trump is just the cancer out there walking around.

    He’s a dangerous diseased idiot.

And his followers are severely mentally ill.

Just like the city that killed Socrates.

The world hasn’t much improved since then, if anything it has degraded.

We have to each upgrade our mind software.

That is all I learned to do.

I pass it on when I can when one is open.

The shaman brings increased cognition to the tribe.

You have to fast from our culture and go into isolation to isolate the disease and sweat it out.

You have to cut yourself off from the pleasure pain monster for awhile.

    Or not, shrug.

Apparently, Disclosure is a severe addiction.

I would love to see more people wake up, but my own quality of life is not degraded if they don’t.

I continue to practice through my own writing.

    Thanks for the Vervaeke reference.

You might wish to consider his relationship between personal and general wisdom.

    Rupert Sheldrake.

This man has it almost nailed with His morphic memory theories.

The planet, this world is remembering to be such, the stars are remembering to be such. the galaxy is remembering to be such.

All isone field of consciousness where everything is created by and from past memories in the overall memory.

Some call that god due to their inability to perceive of the system, thus they kneel down and worship what they cannot comprehend.

This world can be whatever is inputted into the overall memory.

That’s pretty good, hobbit, but not quite good enough.

Rupert is an old buddy.  He reached his cosmic Peter principle.

He didn’t know about tasseography and anagoge……. poor guy…… lucky guy 🍀.

But what he really didn’t know was the core story, and how it related to the big story.

foot has let me on to some crucial missing elements of the core story…….. which involves international cooperation at the ‘highest’ levels.

Poor China 🇨🇳, though, they might be feeling a bit left out.  Clearly, they have a chip on their shoulder.

And this is what folks are going to want to know……. what they’re going to need to know……. after the lights in the sky 🌌 story.

When the Aviary first convened, and when they last convened, this was the number one item on their agenda.

Only now, however, has the story mostly been filled in.

It is full of international intrigue and, finally, cooperation.

Well, actually, the cooperation was there from the beginning, it turns out.

The core story is about the visitors.

If you want to understand the visitors, the place to start is with visitor number three.

    She was stolen from Kashmir.

Well, not really.  She was borrowed….. and, yes, interest is owed.

Was Kashmir going to be the mouse 🐁 that roared?

Who gets the roaring rights?  And that’s a joke, right?

Now, I think 🤔 we have a better take on donny.

There were still some loose ends.  Think of donny as the loose ender….. the guy in the caboose.

The core story is about wings in the air and boots on the ground.

donny was the boot to end all boots…… knock on wood 🪵.

    Enough about donny, please!

For how long can we kick the core story down the road?

For how long can the Princess deny her role in the core story?

For how long can we deny the tasseography and anagoge?

I’m sorry 😞. It’s a weakness of mine. I do like a little word smithing.

I use teabags now so tea leaves are a thing of the past.

But I sure am into patterns, I spent years on a full size drawing board putting onto paper non visible patterns that a diviner such as this little paranoid hobbit can't help but detect.

And I had never heard about My uncle fib until I started recording these patterns, and out He popped.

You see I realised that to operate in a pattern You need to adhere to the pattern, be at one with the pattern of universe, not this stupid force entailing releasing local vast amounts of what travels on the patterns to overcome the consequence of the patterns.

Then a strange thing happens to You if You become at one with this universal pattern , when You realise You are nothing more than a local pattern within a larger pattern, and You suddenly merge into the larger one.

It does lead one to want to be with the larger pattern, but the local pattern is very set in it's encoded manner.

Don’t tell us, hobbit, you would like to be one with the One!

We’ll just have to see what we can do about that.

There's no hurry, don't send a hit man.

Very content where I am located presently, just been out for a 12 mile bike ride around the shires, and about to go out for a couple of hours fishing.

Shucks, I was hoping for a guinea pig, and all I got was a hobbit.

It may not be quite so easy to ditch donny. We’re reminded of Jackson vs Adams….. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/07/opinion/trump-worst-presidents.html
