Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

    HOW TO GARDEN

Division is as valid as Union.

    Love is union.

Life is division until it’s not.

You can’t ever get away from it. That’s found by experience. These states are just an oscillation of a wave, the only wave here now, the singularity. I have a little faith in Bohm’s Pilot Wave Theory in physics, it’s making a comeback due to experimental observations. I’m no expert, I only have a rudimentary knowledge of the details.

In my experience it’s beyond all concept, beyond the Babel, but Mind works on chaos and here we are. My typical dialogues the last few months have been going like this below with everyone I meet.

Some thread connects you to someone and you feel to say to someone...

‘You are enough as you are and you can teach yourself who you are. No Gods needed, but use anything to find it.’

    You may also tell them...

‘You are a Human Being. Be a Human Being. That’s enough. That’s enough to learn in a Human lifetime.’

Or you might not say anything and just give them a big hug, the biggest hug they ever had, there may be some rib cracking.

They will not forget they met a Gardner no matter what happens and I plant a seed.

Now at this point, if they are paying attention and listening, they relax and cease babbling. I have seen several people wake up that very moment. They just see it, right there. It’s like watching a flower bloom. They immediately say, I see, thank you and they are vanquished. Then they come back for all you have for them. You patch them up, wet your finger, clean off their face and I look them square in the face and I slap them...hard!!!

‘Look at me Fool, you ok. You seeing and hearing me now?!’

They beg, ‘Wait, what do I do now?’

‘Just act natural and go with the flow. On the wave, sometimes you will be up and sometimes down, love it all and when you do, you will thrive.’

They nod and somehow you know they are going to be just fine and have a fun time. They will go seek who they are naturally and we all get to see them come alive.

But...the other reaction is condemnation and/or polite ignorance.

They shake their head and insist...

‘No, I could never be enough. The world is in a dire state. How dare you say you are enough! Fool! I must find my answers out there.’

We are the ones in a state, the world is fine.

You politely nod, and say, of course, and you walk away slowly the way you came smiling as you go.

smelly is like the mad hatter........ he tries to murder time, and almost succeeds.  He wishes to murder Chronos, to usher in the Kairos.

Ok, that’s an admirable ambition/agenda item.  That happens to be my mission, too, smelly.  It’s just that I’m much better at it than you are....... learn from the Master, smelly.......

First, smelly, you have to learn patience. You also have to focus. This murder would be no mean feat. You, smelly, are just a weekend warrior...... a day tripper, when this is something much more serious than you could ever imagine.

Dan, in all of these threads I have yet to see the BPWH address what C. S. Lewis calls "the problem of pain". What is the origin and purpose of pain? A theory of everything will be incomplete and certainly unsatisfying if it doesn't address something that is so fundamental to the human experience.

Religions tend to invoke since as the original cause, and then speak of growth for its purpose. But while possibly true, they seem to ring hollow and unsatisfying while in the midst of pain. Materialism implies that pain is an unfortunate consequence of statistics, and is to be avoided at all costs as it is an impediment to the pursuit of pleasure, which is the highest good in an accidental universe.

How to make sense of the presence of pain in the Best Possible World?

Dan, I have no ambition at all.

    I have no mission.

I’m mad, but I’m glad I met you, so you can teach me.

    I’m not doing anything.

I just garden and tend flowers that float by.

    It’s effortless.

    Oh, serious stuff you say.

    No urgency here Wink

I have gone deep into it.

It is enough as is all of this.

Yes Dan, you must be right, I’m smiling and slowly backing away.

Nun, we completely covered ‘the problem of pain’, division.

The solution to this is Love.

    Perhaps you seek better answers?

You all do see it don’t you, almost no one here will budge.

Love is swirling all around you.

    Dissolving you into others.

    Intoxicating.

    You are all intoxicating.

    Shrug.

Yes, smelly, why don’t you go out a smell your flowers.  We adults have something serious to discuss.  We don’t want to trouble your  young/virgin ears.

    Nunia,

The problem of pain, and the maximizing of pleasure.........

I think it was the economist, Jeremy Bentham, who surmised that the only reasonable agenda for us was to maximize individual/social utility..... it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong.

Yes, smelly give his usual non-answer, evincing a bored superiority, all the while.

In short, Nunia, pain is the seasoning of life. We all like a little salt with our soup. Yes, and then remember those tricks from the school cafeteria....... unscrew the top on the salt shaker. What fun? Yes, God does that, too. Sadist or practical joker? Sometimes empathy can bring our our very best impulses. Sometimes..... we fail to rise to the occasion. Woe be unto us, Nunia.

    Nun, shrug.

I have a number of health problems and terrible physical suffering.

    Tickles.

Our perceptions are the issue, not our state of physicality.

    They are irrelvant.

    Slowly backing away smiling.

    No argument here.

You can argue with Love as long as you like.

    We have eternity.

    Dan and The Princess,

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

    ------

    Beloved Mother remember this,

When the unborn Sun prepares for descent through the mitzrayim of Saturn, he turns away from her flipping his crown of polarity downward against her. After turning away from her, a portal is opened and the Sun emerges with the Spark of Saturn inside.

The crocus in the desert is blooming and all things which have been prepared from the beginning are about to unfold.

    Maktub

    Nunia,

Well, had it not been for that extra dose of pain, you might well not be here.  Is it worth it?

    Ackbar........ whatever.......

    And so much for Jeremy.

May we get back to business, please.......?  Murdering time..... pretty much the opposite of kairos, but maybe not so much.

You have to murder Chronos, to make straight the way for the coming of the Kairos.

We are all in bed with Chronos.  We may not be in love with her, but we do have a roof over our heads.  She puts food on the table.

Kairos is the beauty across the street.  Our hearts wander.

    5:20.........

Well, smelly, I don’t lay awake at night worrying that your spirit will not bloweth where it listeth.

So, yes, we are gathered together to perform a ritual murder.  This will be the ritual to end all rituals, and all we have to do is act naturally.  Sometimes that can be a bit difficult.  There is no method.

But we cannot sacrifice Chronos, without proper respect.  We cannot just toss her in the grave.  Sufficient holy water must be employed.  The incense burners must be swung with utmost solemnity....... understand, smelly?

Do I abrogate this task unto myself?  Yes, when it comes to the ultimate ceremony, I do not stand on ceremony.  I just go ahead and perform it.  The Princess holds my hand.  If it works, it works.  If not..... not.

If you’re gonna worry about authority, and all that stuff....... you might want to look the other way.

And, boy, we sure are dragging this one out.  We have all the time in the world for you to voice your objections........ speak now......

    7.........

At this point, the ritual involves two trips..... one in this country, and one not. They include the usual suspects. The time frame is three months. If there is success, there will not be much point in returning.

Dan, it all depends on how each person sees things.

If no one is inflicting suffering, which is impossible, then this is life.

    Enjoy it.

    It’s amazing fun.

    We cause our own suffering.

Nothing else is to blame and it’s our view only that needs clearing up.

Hello, Cy, OMF II - Part 2 - Page 21 Empty Re: Hello, Cy, OMF II - Part 2

Post by Post Eschaton Punk Fri Feb 02, 2018 1:11 pm

Are we having a dialogue Dan or are you dictating?

You can do anything you like.

Kronos - The time of reality. The time of quantity.

Kairos - Cosmic timing, when the Gods determine when something happens, when things happen when they happen, over which no one has any control over. Spiritual time. The time of quality. The designated time ordered by the Cosmos, when opportunity comes knocking.

    What time is it?

Simple, the time is always now.

“In a Chronos-dominated world, living in Kairos becomes all but impossible (Tru Dat), when you’re constantly trying to beat the clock to wake up on time, get to work on time, leave the office by a certain hour, time your workouts etc. etc. etc.

Kairos has a tendency to sneak up on us in two ways, usually in the form of unexpected, pleasant surprises or it’s opposite, when we suddenly hear of some unfortunate news. Kairos has that ability to yank you back into a deeper reality and shake you of of your day-to-day lethargy and remind you of living in the Eternal Now. I think the longer you stay in touch with Kairos, the easier it becomes to accept grace and the travails of day-to-day life.

Things happen when they happen, positive and negative, accept it all as a welcome visitor. Put your intentions out there and let go of them and let the Universe do it’s thing. It’s probably impossible for people who are results-driven but forcing outcomes  hardly ever comes out the way you want.  Instead, it opens you up to possibilities and gifts showing up when no expectations were involved.“

The mystery of Kairos, things will happen when they happen.

    So what’s our intention?

Always be ready to be surprised.

Kairos makes my case for spontaneous action with no expectations.

    Good enough for you Nun?

Dan has zero sense of humor, we would have a lot more fun here if he wasn’t so nasty. He’s funny enough I guess for govt work.

That is a clue to Dan’s heart.

Show us your heart Dan, not just what’s in time in your head.

You, nor anything, will rush Kairos, you can only read the signs.

How are your tracking skillz these dayz?

You don’t listen to your trackers Dan provided to you.

You argue incessantly and babel with them.

Dan, you shouldn’t worry about anyone or anything at all.

    That’s a happy life.

    Wink

    I love it here now.

It’s so much fun to watch it unfold.

    Exciting even.

    All towers will fall.

I’m already standing in the rubble.

The resistance is precious and so sweet on my lipz.

    Timber.......

The One one-eyed fool is the king among blind people.

Kairos, on the other hand, was a young man, lithe and handsome. Statues of him could be found all across the Greek peninsula, but the most famous stood in now-ruined Sikyon. It had the following epigram carved into it:

    Kairos statue.

    Hello, Cy, OMF II - Part 2 - Page 21 Bfa75610

“Who and whence was the sculptor?
    From Sikyon.
    And his name?
    Lysippos.
    And who are you?
    Time who subdues all things.
Why do you stand on tip-toe?
    I am ever running.
And why do you have a pair of wings on your feet?
    I fly with the wind.
And why do you hold a razor in your right hand?
As a sign to men that I am sharper than any sharp edge.
And why does your hair hang over your face?
For him who meets me to take me by the forelock.
And why, in Heaven’s name, is the back of your head bald?
Because none whom I have once raced by on my winged feet will now, though he wishes it sore, take hold of me from behind.
Why did the artist fashion you?
For your sake, stranger, and he set me up in the porch as a lesson.”

A fisherman went and cast his net into the sea. For many days he worked tirelessly, hoping to catch a certain fish. He went on for many days in this manner and began to tire. The moment came and he filled his net, but because he was weary he lost his strength and the fish swam away to shore, leaving the fisherman behind to row in circles.

A Samaritan came and found the fish on the shore. Taking the fish home, the Samaritan divided the fish among his household and all who hungered were filled and all that was written was fulfilled.

Behold I say unto you, the day is at hand that those who are blind shall see and those who see shall be made blind.
