Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

    Juicy stuff Apophis.

    Memento Mori, Amor Fati indeedz.

What stands in the way, becomes The Way...as Marcus wisely wrote.

    Happiness from Wholeness

“In the East people have condemned the body, condemned matter, called matter "illusory," maya - it does not really exist, it only appears to exist; it is made of the same stuff as dreams are made of. They denied the world, and that is the reason for the East remaining poor, sick, in starvation.

Half of humanity has been accepting the inner world but denying the outer world. The other half of humanity has been accepting the material world and denying the inner world. Both are half, and no man who is half can be contented. You have to be whole: rich in the body, rich in science; rich in meditation, rich in consciousness. Only a whole person is a holy person, according to me.

I want Zorba and Buddha to meet together. Zorba alone is hollow. His dance has not an eternal significance, it is momentary pleasure. Soon he will be tired of it. Unless you have inexhaustible sources, available to you from the cosmos itself...unless you become existential, you cannot become whole. This is my contribution to humanity: the whole person.”

    — OSHO

Be as constant as the Sun.

If your nerve holds, then nothing happened. Control your emotions.

There is an art to not panicking.

The govt trained ones know how to suppress their fear and not panic.

    That’s a super power.

Now if you can stay cool under fire from your heart, coupled to virtue, well then, you might be a God. A Demi-God at least.

Perceptions are the only problem here now.

    Think. Perceive correctly. Act.

Contempt is an agent to strip things bare, necessary.

The tip of the spear is here in Salt Lake, fighting off all vibes of fear and quake.
Making sense of all that exists, guiding camps into the abyss.
Finding and knowing that with Light draws dark,
With that debris we create the new Ark.
Great to see Apophis here, someone to help Dan guard attacks from the rear.
Things will happen within days, entities must bend their ways.
Who has control, they all ask,
Such is the kick they will feel in their ass.
The Foot Man has placed his soldier in the center,
And from here on out we guard the perimeter.

Yes, and let me be the first to report that Kevin, while guarding the perimeter of the Temple, just last night, successfully fended off a jack rabbit attack.  In fact, he then chased said jack rabbit right back into its hole.
    ...........

In the East people have condemned the body, condemned matter, called matter “illusory," maya - it does not really exist, it only appears to exist; it is made of the same stuff as dreams are made of. They denied the world, and that is the reason for the East remaining poor, sick, in starvation.
And, yes, Osho, with the MoAPS, the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.

And, poor Eric, he’s just stuck in the middle, which is not quite the eye of the storm, not quite yet, Eric.  But you’re getting there, slowly but surely.
    ..........

    Apop,

Yes, you scare me, something awful.......
    ..............

It appears that the grove might end up being a three ring distraction.  That’s where it’s headed. That’s where Jack’s head is at.  Jack fell down the rabbit hole in 1975.  He’s never recovered.  He didn’t have Ron to hold his hand.  A silver spoon helps, but a hand is even better.

A Princess.........?  That’s something else, altogether.

Clearly, there have been some exploding heads, down by the lake.  We might want to steer clear, until the cleanup crew arrives.
    .............

    Tokens.........?

This is a crucial point, actually........

Well, a token might be seen as an actuator.  Jesus might be seen as the actuator to end all actuators.  He almost did.  We’re just Jesus’ cleanup crew.  We’ll be out of here in a jiffy....... won’t we, Princess?

    Meanwhile.......

The internet is our final actuator.  We’re not going to look an actuator in the mouth.  We’re just going to ride it right back up from our own little jack rabbit hole..... the one we call, Earth.

I do believe that Teilhard had something to say about the wiring of the Earth.  I believe that he called it the Omega point...... and the Phenomenon of Man.

Yes, this is the tip of our spear.

    Spear of destiny........? Oh, dear........puhlease.......

    Poor Eric?

    Hahahahaha.

    Poor Eric indeedz.

Just about the best Fool you could have now.

I’m in between Heaven and Hell and no one can touch us.

Come the melting or flowering of the world, I abide with a smile.

I know so few know our peace and that’s their problem Wink

I showed the Fools what to do, but so few pick up the sword.

    Their loss.

When I whistle, cut your head off, they should listen.

“It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested. But when it is wasted in heedless luxury and spent on no good activity, we are forced at last by death’s final constraint to realize that it has passed away before we knew it was passing. So it is: we are not given a short life but we make it short, and we are not ill-supplied but wasteful of it…

Life is long if you know how to use it.”

    — Seneca

And whoa, can we cook or whatz?

Maybe we have a minute, hour, year, 50 years, shrug, what are these small moments in time?

Are you existential yet, why not, you were invited to fill the expanse.

Life is but a dream and then you die.

    Memento Mori

    Consider Sartre’s Existentialism...

    1. Things are strange on planet Earth, stranger than we could possibly imagine, absurd and frightening. I’ve been out there in the wilderness, we aren’t ready for it.

    2. WE ARE FREE Life can be as rich as it is absurd. Oh the anguish of existence. We make all this up as we go.

    3. Don’t live in bad faith. Whenever we say that things must be a certain way, we are operating in bad faith.

    4. We can free ourselves from capitalism and slavery whenever we choose. What would you do if you had the money? Well do it now anyway. You are free.

Our culture forces us to accept the denial of freedom...for what would you sell your time in life...for externals? They are meaningless.

We are free human beings first I feel...when spontaneous!

Things don’t have to be like this. Accept the fluidity of being and no-thingness. Life is neither pre-ordained or inherently meaningful.

I hope you enjoyed this little Existential interlude, if not, the Obstacle is The Way, good luck.

To say it another way, ignore the package and see and receive the gift.

The struggle against The Obstacle elevates the fighter to a new level of functioning.

Every fear and doubt turn into greater abilites. Post traumatic growth.

The Obstacle is the advantage and not the adversity.

Anything that prevents you from seeing this is your enemy.

This is how to live in the materia.

The Obstacle must always exist, thus why no one enters or stays long in heaven.

    Boring.

Wouldn’t it be more fun to live as a Hero with a Thousand Faces with some nice rest stops in between?

Wow, your post was 9:09, I think we have arrived...

    This is my stop.

A clearer head makes for steadier hands.

And then those hands must be put to good use.

Once you have penetrated the world...you must Act.

The Obstacle was always the way.

No one is asking you to be a hero or martyr.

    All have to make assumptions.

    No rose colored glasses.

    Boldness is acting anyway.

I tackle what’s in my life step by step and I boldly embrace the risk.

Once perceptions are managed properly, you are ready to act.

You just do what the whole needz, one step at a time.

    You are the difference.

    The remainder.

    Love.

    Be perstent and flexiblez.

Action requirez courage, not brute force.

This is right and effective action.

Action is the solution to our predicament.

I am ready, are all of youz?

Did you know Dwight D was a Stoic? He clocked Hitler early and said, I’m gonna let this emotional sucker burn himself out.

When he should have retreated, he pushed into the Bulge and let them surround them. The Blitzkrieg burned out. He was right. We can always wait out the disturbance.

So take your bat off your shoulder and give it a swing.

    Stay moving.

    Drip drip drip like water.

That’s how you last out bullies.

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, that’s when things change.” — Jimmy Hendrix

    And not a second sooner.

When does the balance tip towards love?

You can be discouraged, but you can’t quit, ever.
    No shame in being wrong.
    Working at life works.
Save your cries of how hard it is smelly.
    Attack the Obstacle.
    Quitting is not an option.
    Don’t give up, ever.
    Don’t ever ring that bell.
    Save nothing for later.
    Persist and resist.
    Go all the way alwayz.

I know I sound like a poster, but, life is supposed to be hard and you will fail often, but the answer is to just always get up and keep going.

Someone here will read my words and find courage.
    I’m only talking to myself.

Edison said the first step is a burst of intuition...then come difficulties you have to overcome by trying everything you can until you have taken the impenetrable fortress, that’s persistence, and then we had Light Wink

Dan is like Edison and has my respect.

Persist and resist. Thatz the only way to learn what others don’t.

How tolerant of your current difficulties are you?

Stop looking for epiphany and start looking for weak points.

Stop looking for angels and look for the angles.

We are working on this, we are getting closer.

If you have freedom, no one has to let you do anything, you just do it.

“One day it will have to be officially admitted that what we have christened reality is an even greater illusion than the world of dreams.”

I’ve learned to not just throw my weight around and hope it works. You can’t match people move for move. You can’t waste energy in balttpes of ego and pride. Sometimes the longest way around is the shortest way home.

You pull the problem in close and flank. Don’t waste your energy with ego. Or withdraw and let them attack. Sap their strength. Or maybe you can shove and call their bluff using the power of opposites.

Non-action can be action. No mind can allow Mind to manifest.

Smelly, you're on point. I sent that video of Mike & David last month to Ron. It used to be on QGR's channel.

Dan, I am a friend. I have access to all the answers.

    This is from 2010:

    The Box is a Circle

Vernadsky believed the noosphere ("the realm of reflective thought") emerged at the point when humanity learned to create resources through nuclear transmutation.

The future of molecular manufacturing will allow us to create anything we need, but it will undoubtedly require a base form of energy purchased by human labor.

The future will allow us to create anything we want with energy except energy. Why is this?

I’ve been following these threads since last year looking for info on the ET issue, but all I’ve been seeing here so far are delusions and disinformation. It seems like almost everyone here is out of touch with reality, which is sad, but also frightening considering that most of you are actually quite intelligent people.

I think Grant’s book Managing Magic managed to shed some light on the reality of the issue, but it lacks the core story. DeLonge supposedly has the core story, which will be gradually released to a young and non-religious audience.

Can’t help but wonder if this is somehow related to the various Disclosure operations being rolled out. Slick packaging and high production value throughout:

One highly overlooked issue is the ethics of disclosure. As researchers we tend to prioritize learning and sharing truth, but given that all desires other than comfort (including obtaining truth) are ultimately for achieving comfort, I think it’s virtuous to take the desires of all conscious entities into consideration.

The special guest/dan smith section here, at OMF, was never intended to be for general discussion.  It is intended only for discussion of the best possible world/small world hypotheses.  Please comply, or your posts will have to be removed.  Old timers like Eric/smelly are granted a bit of leeway, but even Eric has to be reminded to not be a pretext for the ramblers.

    Please, comply, everyone.

The BPWH/SWH stands a reasonable chance of being the the last disclosure hypothesis standing.  Indications are that more folks are beginning to realize this simple possibility.  In which case, the OMF/ds section may well be overtaxed by curiosity seekers.

Our owner, Cyrellys, only recently, opened the membership roles to an automatic signup.  Maybe the roles should be closed, while we attempt to sort out what to do next...... My preference would be for limited posting privileges in this section.  The other sections would be remain open to all comers.  Pertinent posts would be selected from these other sections.  However, right now, there is no one to oversee a selection process.

    Thank you, Ackbar,

I hope that others will follow suit........
    ..........

Meanwhile, we will need to keep revisiting the issue of our free/inevitable passage back to the Source........

We will need to use our internal compasses, but, in doing so, it would be of great assistance, for many of us, to have reference stars, or lodestones.  Buddha and Jesus stand out, in history.  In as much as we are immersed in history, it is Jesus who speaks to the prophetic, small world hypothesis...... to the monadic Telos/Source, like none other.

The simple fact of history is that Jesus, almost single handedly, invented personalism.  The BPWH owes its existence to his teachings, as to none other.  I do not attribute divine authority to his individual words, but rather the the cosmic Logos that he singularly personified within our historic sojourn.

I attempt to, and am logically compelled to, pattern myself after the spirit of Truth.  In as much as as we all come from one Source, that Source is singular and personal.  Every one of us exemplifies/reflects/personifies that Source in our own personal way.

But, Eric, and there is a but........

(Thank you, 99.  Yes, yours is a very good interim suggestion.)

But....... there appears to be a bottleneck with respect to anything resembling a mother of all paradigm shifts (MoAPS).  I have, somehow, been inducted into that bottleneck.  Yes, it has been an historical setup, so far, and I’m mostly along for the ride.

I would not be here, were it not for Ron and Aliyah’s frequent hand holding and encouragement.  Be clear, though, that it is strictly hands off when it comes to matters cosmological.  There is no second guessing.

It could be said that I’m just a shoe-in for that spot, if the BPWH is not in the wrong ballpark.   I don’t think it is, sports fans.

Given that we do have an imminent, a thousand year, rendezvous with the Source,  then I also get to be the comforter.  This then is the inauguration of the prophesied Millennium.  We’re not going to be eaten by ETs.  We’re going to be ‘eaten’ by the Source...... our cosmic communion.

Well, that’s one way to describe our impending Rendezvous.

How the comforter........?   Just by acting naturally. It’s a small step for a person, but a giant leap for humankind.

I’m just the reminder that all visions are personal, before they can be shared.  All I that I have been setup for is to hum a few notes.   The rest of you already know the tune.  Our Alpha and Omega are the crux of our essence....... our existence.   Just a little housekeeping that was ‘cut short’, two thousand years ago....... felix culpa...... a felicitous ‘wrong’....... with which we humans become so familiar.

Sure, I’m not preaching to Eric. He has discovered his heart, all by his little self, and with the help of Black Elk and Buddha, etc. This is more than sufficient for Eric to find his way to the pearly gates.

But even Eric will come to understand the flow of history, and the fact that there are navigational beacons to warn us off the rocks. Some of those beacons have been tested by fire and storm. We don’t need to reinvent every last one them. But, again, Eric has beaten those odds, and is a shining example to us here at OMF. And so is Cy, in her steadfast witness to the evil that spurs us on.

I will work harder to keep my own posts on topic, specifically focusing on the SWH and BPWH, both of which I’m totally on board with. Smile

Beware of those with answers bearing gifts Wink

A true friend and teacher will make you struggle to come up with your own answers.

Yes, Apophis, I am indeed on point.

    The Fool is Watching.

Dan, sigh, it wasn’t off topic, but whatever.

    Keep our attention then Wink

One suggestion would be to post your comment that is basically near or completely off-topic to what Dan is talking about in his posts, at any given time, in another sub-forum and then come here to Dan's thread and post a link to it along with a short one sentence comment on what's in the link.

Disclosure question Dan. I don’t ask many.

So the political types are ‘joking’ about secret ‘deep state’ groups, when we all know groups like Skull and Bones exist and JFK condemning them, also belonged to one. Kerry, Bush Sr. Jr. members and no one can say anything about it.

This is just what we know through conspiracy rumor. I don’t want to know how dark it is, I’m sure very dark, the worst of humanity leads it.

This is a problem, but not mine or yours, it’s their problem.

The game is big enough that even the worst of us can exist together with the best of us.

But good and bad are value judgements.

I accept that this has to be now.

But where are these secret groups who don’t give a shit about myself or you in all this?

They only care about themselves or they wouldn’t be hiding secrets.

All of them have compromised themselves, each one.

The world has to keep going like this or they would have to own they think they deserve it to be like this, when we all know they are a cancer that must be removed to realize the greatest potential.

How do these types get themselves involved in Disclosure, which will always challenge their control?

I don’t expect anything but greed and fear from these groups.

Thank you, smelly, for helping me out, here.......

Yes, Cy is correct that we are a prison Planet.  Our jailers abound.  They often live on easy street.  How many of them actually understand their metaphysical roles?  I warrant that few do.

All the time that we are being held captive in our slave galley, we are forging the Keys of Enoch, thinking back beside the Lake.  Yes, these are our ‘cell’ phones, appropriately enough.

These are the tools for our personally orchestrated escape.

The Princess is here to oversee the timing.  I’m just the theoretician.  Does she hesitate?  I might, too.

Yes, there are those in the elite who know that they are living on borrowed time. That the walls of our Bastile are crumbling..... wearing thinner as we speak. All those timing calculations are above my pay grade. We go with the flow.

...... I’m headed to a Green Forum meeting, speaking of flow........

The biggest secret of those intelligences who work through those ones is that they will have won when they can convince them to believe that they don't even exist.

Im reading the book the Alchemist right now.

Just read the part when Melchizedek tells Santiago a fable. The fable is a good reminder to me about what it takes to make this the best possible world, not that it wouldn’t be the best possible world anyway, but it always helps to do our part.

Here is a link to a place I found that has that fable for those interested. It’s very short.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-2651828/PAULO-COELHO-The-two-drops-oil.html

The fable reminded of something a certain Princess told me once when I told her I needed to take some time away from obtaining more knowledge to spend some quality time with my family. She said, “take all the time you need, we will be here when you are ready to learn more. Most people get distracted with the mirage and lose track of what really matters.”

There are even more deeper meanings in the fable that can be understood as one embarks along their personal journey, this was just one of them for me.

What I have learned from Dan and the Pandolfis is that this is already the best possible world and not to get distracted by the mirage and remember to do good deeds as often as you can and to thank others for the opportunity to serve them.

In relation to that fable I linked above, one might say we were booted out of the garden of eden and into the Sages castle. The secret to happiness then is to see all the marvels of the world but never forget the two drops of oil in our spoon.

Never forget who you really are. Smile

    Now is where we are.
    Now is all we know.
    Now is all that matters.
To whom or what it matters,
    I can not say.
    I don’t really know anything.
    People with answers amuse me.
    It’s sweet and quaint.
If you have been looking somewhere I have not,
    Show me.
I can only look here now.

I don’t like being teacher’s pet, sorry Dan, not trying to distract at all.

I never met the princess. I don’t know what all these people here are involved with or care really. I’m a little curious, but not enough to action.

I found myself, so what else could one need?

Nothing really, but we keep breathing.

I have nothing negative at all to say here.

I have no agenda or mission other than a fuck crazy number of synchronicities here.

I share as the impulse moves...mostly.

I can’t explain my synchronicities with Dan.

    I’m encouraged to watch here.

    You think for my ego?

    No.

In every step I feel sure.

I don’t know what it means for anyone really, especially me.

Do you think I think I’m a Sage or Jesus, I’m not and don’t.

I’m just a dude who knows what the fuck time it is here and now.

I asked OSHO again about all this, we are closest now, I trust him as myself...

“In existence there is nobody who is superior and nobody who is inferior. The blade of grass and the great star are absolutely equal.... But man wants to be higher than others, he wants to conquer nature, hence he has to fight continuously. All complexity arises out of this fight. The innocent person is one who has renounced fighting; who is no longer interested in being higher, who is no longer interested in performing, in proving that he is someone special; who has become like a rose flower or like a dewdrop on the lotus leaf; who has become part of this infinity; who has melted, merged and become one with the ocean and is just a wave; who has no idea of the "I". The disappearance of the ''I" is innocence.”

    — OSHO

I have to let this go every day, there is nothing really for me to do and say, but I say and do things.

Why do these things happen, because this is how they happen.

I know I am on the path to innocence and I won’t even know when I have arrived, I’ll just be an innocent at the mercy of nature.

Something in me says, that’s when you are most beautiful, like this.

Back to whatever is happening here now...
