That fear is what robs us of our power, maybe it’s a built in governor, but it must be transcended by anyone who is serious about the Great Work.

I do think the teachings about the Great Work from antiquity are a kind of homing signal for the birds who can feel True North, which is True Will.

The genius of them is that they simply say, see for yourself.

Interesting you wrote this after my previous post (a haiku about mirror in the dark):

"You can lose yourself in your reflection too."

What is it to lose oneself?

Or, simply........  we have met the enemy.......

But there is another factor in play...... one that will be very difficult to swallow.......

It is the Grand Deception.

smelly has no clue about this. He will not be able to hold your hand as you attempt to see through this glass...... darkly.

Dan should watch himself proclaiming what people know and don’t.

He hasn’t a clue about what you or I know.

Amusing is a judgement just as pity would be. Why choose either?

I only treat others the way I would treat myself in such a situation.

When a seed passes through the gut of an animal it undergoes a process  called scarification which is the process of weakening the seed coat so  that the embryo can emerge.

A seed can be scarified manually by filing the seed with a nail file or using a hot water treatment to weaken the seed coat.

An example of a plant whose seeds need to be scarified in order to germinate is the red bud tree.

Dan is just being passed through the gut of Goats.

I wouldn't eat just any seed though.

Only ones that are ready to be eaten.

We are talking about 2 different things. Are you suggesting there is no free will?

There must be free will and there must be no free will both.

Maybe when you find complete freedom from the past and future and all other attachments then you finally are free to express your free will more effortlessly.

Thought, idea, concepts, feeling, beliefs, attitudes....these things make good slaves but bad masters.

Free will itself is but an abstraction of the imagination....at least I imagine it is.

Are you attached to your wife and children and if so, do those attachments constrain the effortlessness of your free will expression?
