“Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.”
—Robert Frost

There's no way I'm going to let go There's no way, because it's my show I'm hanging on for a little while I won't go down easy, that's not my style
I'm all tied up, tied up in a knot And I can't decide just what it is I've got Did I get out of touch? Did I lose my way? I've not forgot, no, not a single day
Now you might believe I'm not a happy man Putting myself apart from the common clan Well, the boat we're sailing, we have a leak or two But I know it's sound, like me and you
There’s something predictable in our current pandemics, from addiction to belief in pseudoscientific theories, for in Victor Frankl’s analysis, ‘An abnormal reaction to an abnormal situation is normal behaviour.’
Forces beyond your control can take away everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation.
Striving to find a meaning in one’s life is the primary motivational force in man.
The salvation of man is through love and in love.
Man’s search for meaning is the primary motivation in his life and not a “secondary rationalisation” of instinctual drives.
The hunger for meaning is wanting to be connected to a reality beyond your egocentrism.
While the rest of the folks he was close to went insane, he kept his sanity and integrity.
I admire that.
He is talking about finding meaning in life.
Religion and tradition can help this for sure, but it requires an openness and curiosity.
I think we are transcending the old religions honestly.
And we don’t need to create a new religion.
I think that’s what is on offer to us.
…
I’ve been spending some time with John and reconnected to Tom Cheetham’s imaginal work. I focused on Tom because it was similar to my experience. The liminal I think is behind the UAP and our world as well I feel.
The Daimon and Divine double. We are always intimately and personally connected to every object. Dan will like that.
Henry Corbin said everything has an Angel.
There are no objects, everything is a person, a Zoroastrian idea.
This is an excerpt from a convo with a Gen Z kid I’m talking to. We have worked together at two different companies. He’s an amazing soul and I just feel and I know I should be available to him for anything and give him anything I have.
This morning, all this just came pouring out of me. Writing it here to remember.
A smile would be enough to share, but he’s so hungry. Like a new born bird. He’s discovering the gold in the world, in himself and he’s waking up.
It is an honor and privilege to assist him, but really, he can only help himself.
…
Peace is a way of living totally counter to the program of the world and culture. They have yuh desiring happiness and material things. Peace surpasses understanding and we all already have it, we just don’t remember.
Marcus Aurelius wrote:“The mind is the ruler of the soul. It should remain unstirred by agitations of the flesh—gentle and violent ones alike. Not mingling with them, but fencing itself off and keeping those feelings in their place. When they make their way into your thoughts, through the sympathetic link between mind and body, don’t try to resist the sensation. The sensation is natural. But don’t let the mind start in with judgments, calling it ‘good’ or ‘bad.’’’
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 5-26
“If you’ve seen the present then you’ve seen everything— as it’s been since the beginning, as it will be forever. The same substance, the same form. All of it.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 6-37
“People try to get away from it all—to the country, to the beach, to the mountains. You always wish that you could too. Which is idiotic: you can get away from it anytime you like. By going within. Nowhere you can go is more peaceful—more free of interruptions—than your own soul.
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 4-3
There is a spring inside you that never stops flowing, if you find it, you will always have enough and never need anything really from anyone or anything. You will have unlimited ability to handle anything. Nature and and the gold you find in the world will lead you to it, like a treasure map.
It’s like you have a spark in your hand and when you find the real divine fuel inside you and light it, whoa, the light of thousand suns will burn inside you. It’s real. I swear it’s real.
“Happiness comes from helping others, by being with others, and by sharing, even if it's only a smile.”
—Sufi quote - Zain Hashmi, A Blessed Olive Tree: A Spiritual Journey in Twenty Short Stories
I have moved on from OMF, if you would indulge me Cy, I will be continuing my blogging on my new personal website, The Tripping Fool - https://thetrippingfool.com.
And I will mention my art work I blog at https://quantumhe.art
Cy, I appreciate you allowing me to post here on OMF, thank you.
It was a lot of fun and a crazy trip for this old fool.
When you are dancing and out of your mind, you feel the flows of the cosmos.
It’s greater than any drug.
Wanna see what I see?
Wanna hear what I hear?
We are the monsters
There are no strangers in the dark.
She sings of the sky falling.
They are calling.
Now the blind shall see.
The earth is shaking.
The sheep are waking.
Why do we exist?
To know what is, to know what’s real.
We are not labels or names.
We are not building more walls.
They are trying to kill the heart of the woman.
Well, she is mighty!
Bow before her.
Protect her.
Love her.
The walls are coming down.
They are crumbling.
They can fight it and kill even, but the walls will tumble.
Could You Be Loved - Bob Marly

Say something (Could you be, could you be, could you be loved?) Say something (Could you be, could you be loved?)
Some very good woo woo below, but maybe, just maybe he’s onto something.
Isn’t saying we are each 3D holographic projections from the event horizon connected by a thread to the central singularity just another way to say persons?
The Akashic record is the event horizon of the cosmos where all information is conserved past, present, and future.
Sure.
The 3D holographic projection is incredible.
I’ve been playing with virtual reality and it’s a really strange immersive experience, hmm, just like our world
Not that all this needs any explanation.
The explanation is the experience.
How about all projections from a solar system are related, which roles up the central singularity at the center of each galaxy which roles up to galaxy clusters and on and on.
We are each points beyond space and time moving infinitely fast projecting into the inside of a black hole, which makes shrinking seem like the cosmos is expanding from any point you observe it.
I’m not a physicist, but it’s poetic in a postmodern James Webb telescope kind of way trying to see farther into the inside of a black hole than ever before, which seems to be expanding from inside.
When we try to talk about Beauty we run into infinity.
All physics breaks down beyond space and time.
That’s where the shamans and poets go.
Physics only gets you to the gate.
Only with the heart of a poet can you sail the cosmic winds.
T.S. Eliot - Burnt Norton wrote:At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless; Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is, But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity, Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards, Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point, There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.
I can only say, there we have been: but I cannot say where. And I cannot say, how long, for that is to place it in time. The inner freedom from the practical desire, The release from action and suffering, release from the inner And the outer compulsion, yet surrounded By a grace of sense, a white light still and moving, Erhebung without motion, concentration Without elimination, both a new world And the old made explicit, understood In the completion of its partial ecstasy, The resolution of its partial horror. Yet the enchainment of past and future Woven in the weakness of the changing body, Protects mankind from heaven and damnation Which flesh cannot endure. Time past and time future Allow but a little consciousness. To be conscious is not to be in time But only in time can the moment in the rose-garden, The moment in the arbour where the rain beat, The moment in the draughty church at smokefall Be remembered; involved with past and future. Only through time time is conquered.
Enjoy the small amount of consciousness you are able to cultivate.
I was exploring the metaphysical and symbolic meaning behind the UFO phenomena. See Carl Jung on this topic too. This is the territory of Jacques Valle.
Carl Jung saw UFOs as psychological phenomena. He saw them as a collective dream. Belief in them is more about the human psyche. He saw them as the archetypes reborn. They symbolize our fears and hopes he thought and it was no accident they were mandala shaped. A mandala is a reflection of your inner cosmos. They reflect the deep collective unconscious. This explains events like Fatima. They had a shared dream perhaps, using Jung’s view.
Language is limited. Wittgenstein thought, based on his latter philosophy, that words can describe the metaphysical but only in certain language games where the words have specific meanings and uses. He felt the metaphysical and mystical cannot be spoken about directly, but can be seen in our actions and lives. Words can only make gestures towards the metaphysical, same for symbols. He felt philosophy was a healing art. It was not about solving metaphysical problems, but instead it should be used to clarify our thinking and help us find our way out of our confused thinking. I think he provides good context for how to think about this.
He might think UFOs are deeply rooted in their specific linguistic and cultural context. He might look into how our language about UFOs shapes our understanding of them. In fact, I think he would feel nothing meaningful could be had from talking about them. He would see them as conceptual confusion I think.
Plotinus, the Neoplatonist, was focused on The One. He thought everything emanates from the source and that we live in a lessor reality. He saw all of life a struggle to get back to unity. He might see UFOs as a manifestation of a higher reality. Reminders of realms beyond our physical perceptions. Any different than a psychedelic or breathing based out of body trip? Our fascination with this topic from his view might reflect our longing to connect with something greater than ourselves. He would suggest inner contemplation on the phenomena over seeking physical evidence.
Jacques Valle has suggested that UFOs are part of a larger more complex phenomenon that transcends just physical explanations. They could be multidimensional or interdimensional.
AHA!
I caught him playing word games. Those last two words are real doozies. I posit no one really understands these concepts outside of experts. He’s using words out of context and confusing people.
