It is known that the senses are used by the mind to make inferences about our environment and guesses the world.

You can prove this with some exercises demonstrating the blind spots in our sight and how the mind infers the missing parts.

The mind is guessing about what is around us.

Our mind fills in lots of our sense data, amplifies it making inferences.

We only sense a ‘web’ of signs around us that the mind infers reality from.

How is noumena connected to this sense data?

The sense world works following the laws of physics.

What laws does the noumena seem to demonstrate?

What is real?

What my thinking does not effect?

So we never see or experience reality, we only have inferences of inferences.

We are literally guessing and we stick with what works.

Freedom, immortality, justice.

These are human conceptions, metaphysics.

So the above is the pragmatic attempt to solve Kant’s problems.

An attempt to do away with the mystical.

But not so fast.

The noumena ain’t going quietly without a fight.

If someone loses their balance inside, they are likely to struggle in the sense world maybe.

And muppets speak of certainty based on inferences?!

I don’t know, this all humbles me.

What can we really know if all the world is a projection, like a computer desktop?

In a fractal world I guess inference engines make sense.

What distinguishes a person from a word?

I am helpless before you Dan, as I can’t transform you into what you already are, nor you I.

We are ‘approximations’ of being.

I have been stressing the I Am aspect of cosmology, but that is not a very ecological way of looking at it.  

We are very used to having an Alpha without an Omega....... Big Bang modernists that we are.  

But, if there is a Logos, the Metanarrative must be lurking close by.

Am I saying that the I Am, like Athena, sprang from the Abyss fully formed?

Golly, it’s only taken me 30 years to figure this out.  

The problem was that I couldn’t figure out the opposite of materialism.

Yes, literally it is immaterialism, but I couldn’t put a name to it.  

The reason I couldn’t was because the name didn’t exist.  

The name is ‘storyism’.  

Storyism is the opposite of atomism.  

The Metanarrative is going to eat every other story..... and the world along with it.

The Metanarrative is gonna eat everyone’s lunch.  

The Metanarrative is the not always so tender trap 🪤.  

The opposite of materialism is idealism, by some accounts.  

But what is an idea?  

An idea is nothing, if it is not essential to the Logos...... if it is not uttered from/out of love .  

Or, as the bguy would say....... anatta, sunyatta.  

The only response to sunyatta is agape.  

Agape trumps sunyatta........ every time.  

Agape trumps Trumpism....... before our very eyes , sports fans.

Ok, I have to report the latest prognostication, or is provocation.......?

There will be no Inauguration, as the election will be overturned..... presumably by the SCOTUS.  

The voting machines will have been deemed to be compromised.  

In the meantime, joe and kevin have been assigned to an undisclosed facility.  

The Utah monolith was mostly made of hollow plastic...... installed for that single photo op.  

I’m supposed to be contacting tiger jeffrey...... a one time associate of Joe Exotic...... allegedly located in Vegas.  The head of the Vegas branch of the Sinaloa, anthony, will be able to locate him.  

jeffrey met joe F at a pool club at the lake.  jeffrey is suspected in a death at that club, but don’t hold me to it.  

jeffrey can provide access to leopards that will help train drone spotters for a KWF project.

You might recall my blogging about meeting a backpacker at an Arlington luncheon for George Wingfield ~1992.  

Later I was told that this individual disappeared on a camping trip in Glacier np.  He was found with a note in his backpack that set off alarm bells back in DC....... naive chick assumed it involved an alien abduction.  

I don’t recall this morning’s segue back to that story, but here is the updated version..... He got lost after a tiff with his camping partner.  The diary found in his backpack, indicating that he was not a straight shooter.  foot claims that none such are allowed in the agency...... even now, in accord with tradition.  

One might wonder about his assignment of sitting next to me at the lunch...... and how it now came up.  

What else do you wish to know?  

foot is seldom at a loss for stories.  

Neither are any of us...... especially not Chivo.  

Even Buddhists must believe in stories.  

Buddhism has a strong sacred tradition...... replete with stories..... but these are only meant to help us escape our mundane samsara.
