Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

It differs only superficially.  The form may appear very different, but not the underlying cause.

    Personal realization of truth.........?

Thank you, Gary, for keeping us updated.   The Tom DeLonge initiative is very important, especially if it can be viewed as being something preliminary, and not definitive.

Grant Cameron is attempting to provide an historical perspective to the latest initiative. He does so, effectively. History may repeat itself, but those cycles are decidedly shorter.

Dan clued me into managing magic.

    I see now Dan.

    This is kind of fun.

    *giggle*

    *tee hee*

I think I peed my pants a little.

One must be brash at times and blunt, you must cut the knot at times, that takes raw power of knowing.

And sometimes, one can laze around and fart.

I like the lazing around farting part best.

Tell you what, any UT showed up in my room, which they have, they know what is happening here.

My father had a horrible nightmare last night...he met our Puca.

He was yelling ‘help’ as a shadow beast with red eyes held him down.

    Magic indeed.

My father has no idea what he walked into.

    Neither did I.

Who the fuck are you people Wink

Plausible deniability is cowardly bullshit to me...so.

Put your neck on the block.

    I did.

That giant green bastard cut it clean off.

Laughing as he did it because I put my neck there by choice.

    That’s what makes magic.

Yes, magic does often come in extremis. There are not just a few of us who believe that we are in extremis.

Zen Stoicism is the most natural path I have found to Self.

Self obviously is directly behind the teachings.

    Wonderful wisdom for living.

I can’t take my eyes off my life now, nor should any I feel, but to each his own.

It takes that kind of control to live and not dissolve completely in extremis.

For those with ears to hear, prepare yourselves by living your life now.

You will know what to do, listen to your surroundings and innards.

You have it all within yourselves.

Imagine how Seneca would face an alien.

I think I might write books about impossible energies meeting one another.

    That’s life.

    Impossible thing.

    A miracle even.

    Lose yourself in that.

    Losing ourselves.......

As we go along with our various and sundry flows, we do run across spirits. In those instances, it behooves us to be able to discern the spirits. Being centered is essential to discernment.

Upon what may we be centered, Eric, pray tell?

    Well...Zen Stoicism is intuitive rationality.

My view from here only...I’m only sharing my current perspective, it is ever open and fluid, but I test all against one thing only now, my Self.

It is Solipsism on one side of the black hole, and something else entirely on the other side.

We literally collapse the star of self and lose ourselves only into the black hole of the soul.

“Zen and zazen are practices focused on switching off the narrative mind to live more experientially. It is bound up in the baggage of eastern religion and culture but the assumption is that if we can live with the influences of the past and self narration minimized then we will behave authentically and as we should - with a similar assumption to stoicism that the true self is unblemished. In zen the true self is intuitive. In stoicism the true self is rational. So in stoicism the goal is similar but is focused on working the rational mind to shape itself...by redefining the narrative. Several of the practices and meditations are similar and the assumption that zen stops at enlightenment is based on an incomplete understanding...it simply focuses on "putting your oxygen mask on first beforr helping others". Most other differences can be attributed to cultural influences and misunderstanding.”

Centered in ourselves, in the moment, we can always be authentic.

    Best I have atm.

The rest will work itself out from center.

I know all you need to know this side of the sun, all plans are lies, but one can play their part joyfully, no matter the circumstance.

“Myself, The Magician”, Alice said shyly to the SoT.

We choose the untruth we want to live always with a wink we are the Truth here now.

Have u ever seen your current form from the Magician’s perspective?

I can’t describe what I saw and felt, but it was a whole lotta love Wink

Dan is a Messiah and Ron is a what again, a lizard, an alien, a spook?

I have to say Dan does convincingly believe what he says.

If only belief were the point.

    He had an experience.

    All here have likely.

We just got tapped on the shoulder is all.

Who is an actor or character here, most people are born characters. It doesn’t matter I guess really either way. Once a character wakes up they just start acting again.

Caught in the appearances, the show.

It has him firmly now it seems.

I would like, at least temporarily, to stand down from an alert mode, to a standby mode.

I have been in an alert mode since January, ‘16.  Until fairly recently, there was a path toward disclosure.  What progress there was, has been stymied for the last month or two.

    7..........

I would say that probably the Tom DeLonge initiative is going to have to play itself out, before any other progress can be made...... a fact of disclosure life.

If I did have any input into the process, it was blessedly brief.

The Katechon remains in firm control.  NV might have been a message to myself........ be careful what you wish for, sonny,..... it is a game for big boys..... the naïf need not yet apply..... the sausage factory is not yet closed for business.  I value the message...... Lord, help us.

Greys..... plan.....?  Now, there’s a silly thought..... let’s do see if we can trick God.  Let’s do see who’s gonna have the last laugh.  Don’t we love to cheat Destiny?

Does the End ever justify the means......?  Well, on occasion, when it comes to Creation, It may, on occasion.  It’s called teleology..... an essential aspect of Eschatology.

Teleology adds a dimension of depth to the mortal notion of morality.  Beware the Telos.  Beware the Rapture of those Depths.  Yes, the fascination is not for mortal regard.  Embrace whatever shred of naïveté is still within your grasp.  It will remain your most precious possession, from this side of eternity.

The Aviary’s efforts to unofficially disclose info are questionable to say the least, but I also think it’s important to know that the Greys have masterminded much of the entire operation. In other words, certain things will transpire according to how the Greys have planned them.

Presently, there are three Hollywood initiatives of which I’m aware..... Tom, Kevin and Chris Bledsoe. All share a significant aviary involvement. Disclosure politics mixes with Hollywood politics. These mixtures do not provide a formula for truth. There is no formula, no politics for truth.

If the BPWH represents a significant piece of the truth, Grant’s book about magic is the nearest published vector, pointing in this direction.

Post by dan Mon Nov 20, 2017 6:30 am

This is my response to a Facebook post by Seth Macy that was forwarded by Grant Cameron to some of his people.......
Two points define a line.  Three point define a curve.  The first two points of disclosure are Roswell and Cover-up Live.  I believe that the third point is the publication of MM.  And what sort of curve do we have......?

A prominent theme of MM is the pivot from out-there to in-here.  If Grant would take it upon himself to do a coherent follow-up to MM, ie. connect some of the many disjointed data points of his first endeavor, with this pivot in mind, we would be looking at an accelerated or exponential acclimation process.  It would be the long sought point of no return, in the very lengthy disclosure project.

Grant has first refusal.  I hope he doesn’t.

    cc: OMF

    And then to another person.........
The reality of this world is based on an untruth.  You are trying to throw good ‘money’ after bad.  When will it be time to let your truth shine?

Managing Magic has a glimmer of a larger truth.  An essential piece of that larger truth is the Eschaton.  Grant mentions eschatology just once, in passing.  It is the Eschaton which enables this world to be self-contained..... to be personal..... yes, even to be magical.

The pantheists understand the world to be an illusion.  They can see through the material facade.  They know there must be another side.  But they are disillusioned with the illusion.  They can see it only as is. They cannot see the potential.  The Evangel sees the potential..... sees the spark of divinity within.

That spark, however, is encrusted with our ever so thick skins.  That spark of hope has been severely canalized.  With the right disclosure, there could be a chain reaction of new hope..... watch out..... watch in.

The Eschaton is the quantum barrier to the unfolding of this chain reaction.  How can the best possible world have an ending?  No...... how can the best possible world not be self-contained and, therefore, be personal?  This is the quantum/conceptual barrier that we face.

How can a world end and not end, at the same time......?

It can if it resembles a closed timelike curve. That is the fundamental assumption behind the best possible world.
