About six months before we met, I had the definite impression of being given a choice with regard to the advent of the Eschaton……. would the deliberations be up there or down here.  

For chick , it was a no-brainer……. it would be down here.  

Some time after we had met, he said that my decision had considerably complicated things.  

And exactly how do we negotiate the best possible Eschaton?  

Hasn’t it already been written in the stars ?  

True…… and, guess what, we’re the ones doing the writing.  

At the very least, we are certainly going through the motions….. performing the ritual…… right out in the open.  

Shouldn’t we leave this up to God?  

Why did chick want to do this down on the ground?  

All the more transparency, we might say.  

As I recall, I wasn’t thinking specifically of the Eschaton.  

It was also about Disclosure.  

The best possible Disclosure naturally leads us to the best possible Eschaton.  

Is this the best possible Disclosure?  

Virtually no Disclosure?

That’s how my thinking has been tending…… no Disclosure….. no Millennium.  

Make it as short and sweet as possible.

Unless someone has a very reliable crystal ball, I think we should not stand on ceremony.  

A premature Disclosure would lead to chaos.  

Everyone who has a need to know, already knows.  

Lawrence Tribe has recently pointed out that DOJ is doing nothing to prosecute Trump for leading an insurrection.  

I would guess that there is collusion in Washington around an early date for the Eschaton.  

Trump is being wittingly used to keep the right wingers entertained, and out of worse trouble.  

If Trump is re-elected, he would have to take us further down the path of autocracy.  

I doubt that the US economy could stand the strain.  

There would be global depression, at the least.  

At the longest, we could delay until early in 2024.  

And, if the Republicans/Trumpers manage to take over next January, they would only be getting a head start.  

The Eschaton ought to preempt the further polarization that we are likely to see in next year’s campaigns.

Elsewhere in the world, the prognostications are not looking any better.

Why not let folks just wander in and out?
