A meditation follows I wrote on the plane today on my way to the other side of the world.

I don’t know that I mentioned, I am taking a trip around the world during the first two weeks of December right now for work.

There is one central key to understand their recipe for immortality, the initiate’s approach to the Sun.

The Sun is our God of Gods. It is through the Sun you are born again. To do this you must travel the path of the Sun yourself. You must become a Sun-Runner. This was the last stage of Ancient Greek Initiation.

Asclepius took over his father Apollo’s healing powers in later centuries after Parmenides. For those not ready, his hissing would terrify them. It sounds like the wildest nature sounds while you are alone in the wild while in a state of deep incubation. All the planets make this sound spinning round the Sun.

A Physikos was someone concerned with the basic principles of existence, who’s able to touch the bare bones on what things are and used the knowledge the find. It used to describe magicians and alchemists.

It’s the root of physician, physicist and physical. To know these bare things brought healing. The name was found applied to Parmenides on an ancient statue where he was identified as an Iatromantis, a healer.

Physikos were the earliest philosophers. Philosophy was not just an intellectual speculation for them. They used to be healers and physicists as well. Thus Philosophy has been shattered and it’s real power stripped.

Imagine a Dr, a Physicist and Philosopher all in one.

Specialization has disconnected us from meaning. Before you can truly heal someone, you must understand true human nature at is most base.

This is so incredibly real to me. This tradition resonates with life for me.

We are so lost, so so lost today after following the Mind our of Eden, but look, if a smelly goat can find his way back to source, anyone can.

I know I have.

An Iatromantis was concerned with bringing the deepest healing and wholeness to the sick through incubation.

They healed the ailments of the soul, the true source of illness. They healed ignorance.

Pythagoras went from city to city not talking, but healing on this deep deepest level.

Those whole people could then help others get their lives in order as well.

Science ha thrown a wet blanket over this healing art of philosophy. I have rediscovered it for my self, only you can.

This process did not have its origin in thinking and reasoning. It’s power comes from experiencing other states of consciousness. These are mystics and magicians.

No real healing can come, nor will your work have any power, unless you discover for your self what is behind the world of thought and senses.

I would humbly suggest that the better word in this context would be ‘striving’, rather than ‘thinking’.  

With that modification, we’re on the same page, smelly.

And, speaking of striving, I only had to go a tenth of the way around the world, in order to demonstrate this...... proposition.

The introduction by Robert Sardello to Tom’s Green Man book is very close to spot on, in its comparison of Christianity and Ismailism.  I’m looking forward to reading the book, itself.  

That’s the great benefit and limitation of mysticism...... it’s all about the denial of urgency or emergency. There is not the slightest concern with the flow of events, other than how they might effect one personally.

Islam is only, very superficially, a part of the prophetic tradition.
