Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

My feeling 99, we can’t give maya meaning but in the moment.

It has no objective meaning would be my position.

    Coud Dan concur.

Using the law of flow and Kairos, it will all work out in the end.

    It already has.

We are here now in universal time.

We can’t see the multiverse now, only on quantum level.

It can mean something every second, if you are paying attention.

    Good quote by Dan 99.

Dan, remember all and I mean all systems have a way to center if you be true of heart.

That’s why we never have to argue anyone’s beliefs.

If you shine your heart, it will melt them through prescence is my experience.

We will be off balance, but heart led, we will always right the ship.

    You can’t drown.

So there comes some knowing of maya as a mirror reflecting and mixing only what you project.

So you can’t judge it or you judge yourself.

You have to move beyond words in the heart to make the final journey.

The best word I have seen for the Alpha and Omega is “Thing-y-Tron”, everywhere and nowhere at once.

    smelly,

I think you confuse me with a hedonist.  Think of me as a buddha come back to show the way...... nay, to explain the way.

No, not to explain an individual’s path, but to explain the theory and necessity of the path. That’s all.

Based on my own experience though and those of others, sometimes we find out, usually soon enough, that ones maya experience did have meaning. For example, sometimes they foretell , in some way, an event that ends up happening in the near future. But that's just one example of maya having meaning.

As you like, be what you are authentically and naturally in the moment and you need not explain.

Anything else than that is imaginary nonsense, just models of reality.

As a mystic here, don’t fall in love with your models, leave room for the Holy Spirit/Kairos, which I think you are. That is the beginning and end of your and my friction.

I won’t let you take your eyes off the moment.

You won’t let me forget that means something.

Win win as far as I can see.

    Good flow herez.

I mentioned this on one of my scrying rantz.

For example, last saturday when I read about the Dow dropping 666 points.. what I didn't say was that it was not only the number itself that raised red flags for me that it was a bad sign about the stock market. I also saw, in my mind's eye, the number 666 flash on and off. That was maya and it indicated to me that I was to pay attention to that event and that things were going to get worse... and that's exactly what happen because on monday, the biggest point drop in the history of the stock market occurred.
But had I not had that "maya" experience of seeing those numbers flash on and off like that, I never would have come here after reading about what happened on friday, saturday morning to post what I did about that. I left out what I saw in my mind's eye but that was enough for me to think that the 666 was indeed an ominous sign.

correction: It didn't hit the headlines until sunday morning about that 666 point drop that happened on Friday. I came here on Sunday morning, not saturday morning as I said above, and posted my prediction that things are going to get worse and that the 666 was an ominous sign.

    smelly,

You don’t appreciate the necessity of all this.

You suppose that this is strictly an avocation...... something to while away the time.

Recall that necessity is the mother of invention.

I’m saying that it is us or...... rust.

    A slight difference in tone.
    .......

Yes, we can go with the flow, but the No-thing arranged for us the ability to carve paddles to steer around the rapids. Is this cheating? Are we supposed to let the blood flow in the streets? Should it not, instead, be flowing in our veins.

Dan, we should do whatever we feel to do in the moment in our hearts.

Nothing is off the table, but I’ll not follow Mind now unless the intuition high fives.

It is true, Smelly doesn't understand the necessity because he just IS. What else is needed when you just are, because once you just are there is no need to fear extinction because you become timeless in the now. You understand there is nothing to fear. No need for carving paddles when you just float and flow with the flow. The rapids just part and dissolve and you float effortlessly through the rivers of eternity.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present.

Let me translate what Smelly is trying to say:

    Give me your tears
I will make fire from them
    Give me your war
I will make gods of them
    Give me your wish
I will make truth of it
    Give me a chance
And I’ll do all of it

I will become what I’m meant to be
I will give up self-made boundaries
I will live in the world I will make
There is no doubt I will make my way

Just do what Smelly does and you will be what Dan becomes.

No need to waste time planning or plotting, just trust the flow.

The universe will pave the way and light the dark along the way.

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
    - Matthew 6:28 KJV

And what or where is the Kingdom of God?

It is inside of us, right here, right now.

“Blue sapphire icicles were cried out of the synthetic Eye, evoking the cold appearance of a dark witch who kept her animals in cages, who moved her freight elevators up, just like she went down on her dumb waiters, and who sliced off the heads of infidels expecting the interior of their bodies to be an emerald honeycomb of light that would weep strange songs.”

    — The Midnight Blade of Sonic Honey

Freed from the tyranny of results.

“The key to all systems, as well as, the Universal Pattern is the only Reality: the Key, we know as Chokmah (Wisdom) on the Tree of Life. Kether is not or no-thing, therefore it is not reality. When we cause reality, it is of our beliefs and opinions united, so I often call Chokmah the Real...for it is not of us, but is the Will of Force before us, as well as, the Will to Force, that we call E-motion. Our beginning is in Chokmah, the idea of I Am, and the Will to Force, all begin there. Thus we are Dreaming ourselves into willfully forced existence. For now, we know Chokmah to be Will To Force, which is Energy in Motion.”

The fire is a demon or angel based on your fear or none.

    I AM ME

Is the easiest way to describe the union of ego and force.

Two Dorjes (Tibetan symbols of Lightning/power) or Serpent Wands. The symbol of crossed Tibetan Dorjes or 2 equal serpentine wands, represents, optimum balance of energy, the sense of sovereignty (lion head) and being comfortable with your domain which can be called Personal Unified sacred power.

Dan, there is a level of sacred power one comes into.

    It Trumps everything.

A new time of Focused Will with Firey Motion

Experiencing the will to move forward in a new direction, from a place of undaunted will, of full power, and balanced dominion.

    Hello, Cy, OMF II - Part 2 - Page 32 20588e10

“Personalities are therefore, artificial intelligence created by very advanced software programs that are created to operate an experimental identity, with Sensual Hardware (or brain Wet-ware), and are supplanted in the brain to manipulate the physical body properly. Therefore, the Soul or Real Person is not of the physical world, but that of the Solar Self (Solar Logos or Christ/Buddha consciousness and/ or the Intelligence of the Photon Sun of the Galaxy core)”

“We are One, who is Many. The Many are the Sacred Sacraments of the One. In other words, our incarnate consciousness is a formal sacred act or rite of Spirit and our Soul-Psyche, is made of a collective of many personalities, each new personality a composite and expansion of the past. It is the rite of Spirit and the Universal collective unconscious, to become Sensually Self Aware through the sacrament of creation! I AM ME! Is a declaration of an Elohim Yod, who is self aware.....and now can discriminate self thoughts from group thoughts, and yet remain One”

From a Qabbalah perspective and similar to Hindu view, there are 10 forces within us needing balance and we are in control of all of them and will be granted firey motion when balanced.

The Tarot is a visual meditation on these energies and it was my key to meet and solve each one. Highly recommend Thoth system for this.

"I understand what you are saying and I experience the same thing. I think like many of us, I end up compartmentalizing myself into several different perspectives, almost like I have multiple personalities, in order to experiment with different seemingly contending viewpoints without obstructive bias" saith Akbar

With all due respect Ackbar, I think you are projecting, onto me, your own personal approach on this forum. I merely said that sometimes I still appreciate different viewpoints in other religions outside of the Judeo-Christian belief system but this does not mean that I'm not consistent when it comes to adhering to the beliefs in that system. I don't compartmentalize and psychologically split off into other persona's to roleplay as a believer in those other religions outside of the Judeo-Christian tradition as you are saying that you are doing here in this forum to, perhaps, be more objective in your assessment of them. Just felt a need to give clarification on that. Not that I'm judging your approach but just saying that I don't do that.

I think it good to try on all the emperor’s clothes.

I can’t say what the right or wrong way to do that is.

Some like one pair of pants, some have to change clothes or my preference, to wear none.

I believe with some awareness or none, I see Ack is suffering maybe from Enlightenment sickness, maybe not. Lots of water here, emotions.

The fire will dry that right up.

The self doesn’t get “enlightened” because the self is the light.

Dan often accused me of just self aggrandizing my ego by lording knowledge over others, maybe sometimes that was true, but more like being a smartass.

I do have a soft spot for Ack.

The more he writes the better for the dude.

It will pass and I like seeing someone else wrestle with self-awareness  Wink

    99,

I have never split off into other persona's to roleplay. I know I used the word 'personalities' but that was probably not the best word to use.

Instead of moving from one personality to another, I am just trying to drop personality altogether and move into the flow. When I'm in the flow, there is no roleplaying because there is no flow period. I just simply am that I am.

In that state, different clothes come on and off, just trying them all on for fun, but mostly I like to be naked.

    Smelly,
I do not know what enlightenment sickness is. If I were sick I would be feeling confused and/or uneasy or tired. That's the opposite of what I am experiencing. I have what I would call the enlightenment boogie of twirling nonsense. Haha. Basically, I just stopped giving a fuck about giving a fuck.

    No labels please Wink

The ego wants a title to show it is worthy.

It wants to compare itself to others, so others have to be good or bad to fit our view of ourselves.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery said, “Here is my secret. It is very simple: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

A way of “seeing” with the eye of the heart and the mind is what Pulitzer Prize-winning Kiowa novelist N. Scott Momaday calls reciprocal appropriation, in which “man invests himself in the landscape and at the same time incorporates the landscape into his own most fundamental experience.”

We are interconnected with all of life. There is no separate self. As Chief Seattle said, “Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.”

The popular story about Master Foyin and the crafty scholar Su Dongpo illustrates the Eye of the Heart.

Su Dongpo prided himself on his wit and liked to debate Master Foyin. One day, over tea, he challenged the Master. “Foyin, people think you are an enlightened monk, but to me you just look like a big, stinking pile of worthless dung sitting on your pillow all day long.”

Su Dongpo leaned backward and crossed his arms slyly.

Master Foyin placed his hands in prayer position. “My dear Dongpo, but to me you look like a Buddha.”

Su Dongpo grinned and bid Master Foyin farewell.

When Su Dongpo got home, he was wearing a triumphant smile. His sister asked him what happened.

“Today I outsmarted Master Foyin,” Su Dongpo replied, then recounted the events to her.

“Oh no, brother! I’m sorry to tell you this, but you lost badly,” she said. “What do you mean?”
“Don’t you realize that the world mirrors the heart? Master Foyin sees you as a Buddha because he is a Buddha. You see him as a pile of dung. What does that make you?”

Su Dongpo turned beet red, then all of a sudden, he became enlightened.

Suddenly or step by step, it’s all in our perception.

Incremental improvement, one bit at a time for the snake as it eats you.

    Kaizen

I think the Eye of the Heart is the only religion we need. I think Jesus lives by and taught the Eye of the Heart.

Then all you can say is...

    I AM ME

Maybe Donkim. More likely: Think tv series Jericho not Donkim. Donkim dog & pony show and scapegoat. His could be a dud, no sweat if the prepositioned were used. That was the danger 10 years ago...never had confirmation resolved, too many ended in graves and no assessments left behind. GHOSTTROOP TX cybercalv.
