But before you can embrace any person as a replica of the Monad, as a true microcosm, you will have to understand that telescopes can lie.  This is a very high hurdle for the modern minded person.  

To begin to get a handle on this issue, let’s begin by considering whether computers can lie........

Does a telephoto lens lie?  Does a photograph lie?  

These questions revolve around the very difficult philosophical question of direct v indirect perception.

While I totally understand what Smelly is saying on a very deep fundamental level, the fact that he gets it but keeps chirping up on this forum gives me the funnies that he actually doesn't get it.
