Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

I'm not even sure where to start on all this. Guess i'll say i was given the question's, then i found the answers. But they were just more question's. But alas, once you have the mean's to find the answer's, it's just a matter of Earthly time.

With Bob's Picture right above me, i'd have to change his phrase. It's not "right under our Nose's", but rather, "right behind our Nose's". Once the Weather warm's, group outing's will commence.

I am satisfied to see that amongst the din and drumbeat of war around here, this is a place to be encouraged to know thyself.

    I’ll preach know thyself forever.

I had the exact same thought when I heard Bigelow say that. Wondered if that's what he meant. If you go out to a quiet place where all you can see is your own. It's easy to see, there is more to you and me.

If you didn’t get your hands dirty and learn to turn compost into flowers and flowers into compost, what are you doing?

One must learn the art of turning compost into flowers.

I just took this picture of a new daisy growing in the dew and sunlight.

“Look at a flower: it is beautiful, it is fragrant, it is pure; but if you look deeply you can already see the compost in the flower.” - Thich Nhat Hanh - True Love

This a great secret to realize.

Do you celebrate the fear and joy within?

    Your compost and fragrance?

The Gardner sees life in every heap of trash.

    The last shall be first.

    Doug’s picture triggered this response.

The fruits of a Human Being properly open are...

    Compassion, Love and Peace.

Here on Earth the flowers grow from the compost of history.

If you never suffered, you’d never know how sweet wholeness is.

The flower is always dying and dead things are always being born.

You have to see both as part of the whole.

In regards to recent revelations about FBI, specifically, the texts between Strzok and Page referencing a "secret society." https://twitter.com/RepRatcliffe/status/955599629206335488

I am reminded of something I read once in a book delivered by Moroni to good old Joe Smith.

Here is the link for a study guide to see how it all played out last time. https://www.lds.org/scriptures/triple-index/secret-combination?lang=eng

If I remember right, the members of that secret society along with many others, were destroyed when the Son of Man appeared.

Maybe that book was written specifically for our time as a warning, to remind us that the good guys always win.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to proselytize. I don't push religion, I push mirrors, and It's all mirrors down here. It's just my personal synchronicities, that's all. In the end I know nothing except the fact that I am. That's good enough for me.

I do try to learn from patterns though, and what's happening now has happened before.

Jewel has it right, in the end only kindness matters. True kindness grows out of true being. Just be, right here right now.

And if you find yourself in times of trouble, Mother Mary will come speaking words of wisdom. I spoke to her once and she gave me a crocus. Unfortunately, I gave her back a thorn. I miss her sometimes, but she is always here inside, just like all of you.

Doug, I wanted to tell you. You have inspired me to get back into oil painting. I started a few years back but I lived with my family in an apartment and it was hard with the fumes. We bought a house a few months ago with an unfinished basement. I think that will be the perfect place for me to start painting again.

I found this really awesome tutorial on youtube here that gives a good foundation I think.

    This was my first attempt:

//Guess who that happy little tree is down front? My ashes will be buried under that tree.

That tree is on Mt. Tamalpais. Tamalpais is a Miwok Indian word.

I once met a Miwok girl, she called me Tukulea. Maybe it was because I kept asking her who she was.

And so the small world gets smaller once again.

Tamalpais is a magic powerful spot.

I went to the cemetery there one time and I had quite a time.

A Buck and his family came and met me.

One of my first King of the Wood contacts there amongst life and death.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeycomb_(song)

Last I checked, the honeycomb was in the hive.  Are we going to the deseret with leopards in our hair, Kashmir?  We might just have a rendezvous.

    AA,

One thing.......... well, maybe you should call Eric. Have him ask Black Elk. And then put some leopards in your hair.

Or you could explain the mnemonic to all of us. I’ve almost forgotten.

Well you know what ‘doug the painter’...

my life is my art and my art is my life. No distinction.

Everything I wrote here is my art.

Who knows who sees it, that’s kind of wonderful.

It’s like I’m talking into a giant microphone into the void.

I have no idea if it makes waves.

The Art and experience of it is the message. The poet writes to the wind, because no one really reads much poetry, but the wind hears everything and it whispers back.

Man I’m so high up here on this high wire, I see and feel it’s all flowing rather nicely and connected, no effort needed to make the world beautiful, it is anywhere you look, that’s the Truth, the Lie is that life isn’t beautiful.

I don’t know no White Brotherhood and I never met Jesus or a Blue Sirian, but I know Dan Smith.

That’s a good generic name, they probably told him at 3 he was the SoT and he believed them Wink

What must one do to push the best possible flow?

    I’m glad you asked.

What you feel in your heart to do minus fear and greed.

Yes, our lives are the ultimate offering we make back to life.

But let me dial up Black Elk. I need to talk to Mother Mary first.

    Hold please...

    Aho! Aho! Aho!

I have seen a movie, Hostiles, it moved our heart deeply.

Life will take you into the darkest places and you will always have a way back out into the Sun and green pastures, but you could die any second.

So if you can’t find happiness in externals, where else can you look.

The more of you that find your hearts, the faster it happens, but there might be a time, you have no choice.

Seneca might have showed up as well Wink

    Hahaha.

I cranked this Epicycloid Flower out tonight. Hobbit, know the type of cycloid, I think I’m right.

See, this is a kind of portal. To create one requires a synchronization.

OSHO showed up too. You never can tell who will show up if you open the doorz.

Us existentialists are not too much fun, for us, Life is but a dream and Mind is the projector. So if you are projecting your dream of a life from your mind...

Who or what is projecting all of us?

“Through your excitement the dream starts looking like reality. If you are too excited then you are intoxicated, then you are not in your senses. Then whatsoever you see is just your projection. And there are as many worlds as there are minds, because every mind lives in his own world.”

For me, this is Smelly, the hardest thing for me was to accept all I react to is my own projection. That’s why you have to walk backwards to see clearly.

I know, not scientific. Science is just precise dreaming, but Dreamstate nonetheless.

It is so easy to get carried away with externals, the projections.

Your gender, race, religion, family, country, occupation...

    What are these things really?

I have no answers and no questions, these are just spontaneous responses, leave what doesn’t stick.
