The term "Liberty" is so commonly used in our country that it has become a mere cliché.
But do we know what it means?
What it promises?
How it factors into our daily lives?
And most importantly, can we recognize tyranny when it is sold to us disguised as a form of liberty?
The above quote is something Bernie doesn't understand.
With enough liberty we are free to create our own security.
The opposite is not true.
We all want to feel secure in the world, but what price are we willing to pay?
When you go to the well.....
Politics costs big bucks....super PAC bucks.
Historically, we have paid the price of Liberty in blood, sweat and tears.
May we remember how precious our liberty is and the price we paid to enjoy this Liberty.
Lets not throw all that away because we want free education and free healthcare.
Nothing is free.
When you say we have a right to something we have to stop and think about what that means?
Do I really have a right to education and healthcare?
If I'm a doctor or teacher does the government have a right to nock on my door, point their guns at me, and say, "this person here is sick or uneducated and you are required to provide services to them because it is their right".
Bah!
What rational person would ever think socialism is wise?
And by socialism, I mean forced socialism.
Volunteer socialism is in the domain of the hive.
Give me Liberty or give me Death.
