Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

The man reached the first destination and was greeted by an amazing set of new gate keepers. Instead of building a wall between these great nations we are opening the gates collectively - another huge success by the President.

The man activated the gate, connected with the hive, and soon thereafter the first passages began. Following cold beer all around I am back on the road. They even loaded the jeep with full cans of fuel.

Next stop will be with in a cartel controlled area. Would have been nice if Discloser were on board to hold the wheel while the man holds the 50 cal. Hard to shoot and drive straight.

The man should arrive on time to wherever the Princess wishes. Please have cold beer ready. (I know the rules, but I will be off duty when I arrive.) I have been driving night and day through blazing heat.

I do my own inner exploration, enjoy the outer show.

This is a self portrait of Smelly.

Creating images of our inner energies is quite powerful in the outer.

I can only speak for myself smiley but I feel very honored that you're sharing this stunning masterpiece with us that perhaps is influenced, no doubt, by your controversial experimentation with ketchup, mustard, and mayo when drawing something out on a paper plate after fixing a hamburger one bright sunny day at a backyard cookout;perhaps during a time during your 'Mainly Ketchup Period'? I'm also seeing some interwoven narratives within the shapes used in this sculpture too where, for example, the triangular shapes of the eye's seem to convey an ironic political statement (possibly on Social Security privatization)? Though, of course, other viewers will most likely interpret its political aspect differently as none of us interpret art exactly alike anyway. But here's a suggestion.... why don't you loan it to a psychologist to mull over for a while as I'm sure that person would be coming up with tons of interpretations and crystal clear insights of it that most of us are missing..

Well... don't want to waste my art therapy training in that master's degree program I was enrolled in ages ago. Sometimes it comes handy though especially in cases like this one. Smile

PS... hope you're feeling better AP! Will keep you in my prayers.

Tough leg last night when the Federales showed up on the horizon. First thought was the man might have to fight his way through, but they were there to protect his flank. Someone had tipped off the Triad that I was getting close and they had set up an ambush. As the man veered East they popped up and began firing, but the Federales silenced them in seconds. I tipped my hat as I lifted the Mexican flag in sign of gratitude. No time to stop.

Later that night I discovered a round had passed through my water tank - not good in the heat of Mexico and hours from the nearest supply. Chewing Yucca helped get me through the night. Also lost all my food supply when I hit a large berm. Now living off the land until the next rendezvous.

Good thing POJG forwarded supplies and a set of new tires. I will pick them up early in the morning. Heat and rough terrain is hard all around. I have a photo of the Princess on my dash to keep me going. The world is dangerous and time is short.

Holy Smokes!! That's quite an ordeal Skaiz! This may turn out to be the beginning of the production of the first big-budget feature-length ACTION film shot entirely on a cell phone --- that is, if you're recording everything but I seriously doubt you're doing that as how can you hold your phone while driving your Jeep AND shooting off a semi-automatic at the same time? Thank g-d Mexico's gotta flag! Whew... that was a close call, fer sure!

Thanks for the update and am looking forward to the next one with baited breath! Talk about cliffhangers! This one takes the cake!

I showed the post to Ron and Princess.  They are taking it in stride.  Things are out of control.  What else is new?  We have a cold beer waiting for John.  If he doesn’t make it, I might have to drink it.

Just don’t loose your lucky photo, John.

Sorry to troll you AP, but this is not about the non existent future.

That’s the same confused thinking about good and bad.

This is the heart of our confusion.

    Listen to Dan AP.

I don’t think you are hearing him.

But the beautiful thing is, you can go fight all you like.

But please don’t take any of it or your self seriously.

It’s all happening as it’s written in our DNA, not books.

    Have fun.

My Oni smiles and every time I ask it a question it sticks its tongue out at me smiling.

Seriously, when I made a move toward the mask it said it’s finished.

    "All Along The Watchtower"

"There must be some kind of way out of here,"
Said the joker to the thief,
    "There's too much confusion.
    I can't get no relief.

Businessmen – they drink my wine,
    Plowmen dig my earth.
None will level on the line,
    Nobody of it is worth.
    Hey!"

    "No reason to get excited,"
The thief – he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke.

But you and I – we've been through that.
And this is not our fate.
So let us not talk falsely now.
    The hour's getting late.
    Hey!"

    All along the watchtower
    Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went.
    Barefoot servants too.

    Outside in the cold distance
    A wildcat did growl.
    Two riders were approaching,
And the wind began to howl, hey.

    All along the watchtower
    All along the watchtower

The man arrived at the outpost shortly before dawn. The large flies swarming on the perimeter was a warning of problems ahead. Another team had already arrived. The guards were planting them nearby a large prickly pear cactus. The man walked over and picked a few while watching the operation. They were ripe, juicy, and tasty. The juice dripped bright red, the color of the spilled blood.

After the place was cleaned up, we all gathered for a bit of celebration.Word had reached that the Princess had granted them a place in the Hive, and the first shipment had already arrived - my tires and other supplies.

There were full bottles of tequila all around. The man remembered that photo of the Princess and opted for a tall glass of cactus juice. The greatest challenges were still to come. He grabbed a bottle of the best tequila for the road.

With new tires, full tanks, and clean clothes, the man pressed pedal to the floor and the old Jeep began to fly along the clear path. To those observing it was unmarked, but the man had a clear vision, and nothing could get in his way. The flow of time and space no longer had separate meanings for the man. He was one with the flow.
