Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

99 good for you it's not possible to care for animals and then treat them with such cruelty. Dairy cows suffer more than any other animal on the planet, long drawn out suffering. It's about frequency / vibration of the entire planet.

I was born and raised on a dairy farm and I wouldn't exactly describe it as 'long, drawn out suffering.'

Despite the exploitative nature of dairy farming in principle, most cows actually enjoy the milking process itself (especially if fed at the same time).

    And they're well cared for.

Of course, the minority of rebellious cows who don't like mechanical leeches being attached to their nipples to drain their life force are routinely slaughtered.

And most all cows who have had 2 or 3 calves ripped away from them at birth, gradually transform from playful, sprightly heifers into sad, lumbering old hollow-eyed shells of their former selves...

I climb the road to Cold Mountain,
The road to Cold Mountain that never ends.
    The valleys are long and strewn with stones;
The streams broad and banked with thick grass.
    Moss is slippery, though no rain has fallen;
Pines sigh, but it isn’t the wind.
Who can break from the snares of the world
And sit with me among the white clouds?

In change of subject, it's great to see that the horse racing industry is finally making some important reforms in numerous ways wrt to the well being of the horses that run those races. As long as there are horses, there will always be horse races so the focus is to eradicate abuse and neglect in any way, shape or form. There are thousands of activists out there who are working toward that end... every single day. Smile

Reversing the attitude of having aversion to suffering and attachment to pleasure would be a good guide up the mountain...

We are all just prisoners here of our own device...

So fucking Thunder....or be quiet as a mouse, no matter, no turning back now on this ship of fools.

Straight fucking on Willy Wonka style...

No help from God I’m afraid.

God was such a great idea and the greatest enemy to Humanity, imagine how great we are with God as our enemy.

But we are ants and bees really, together more than ourselves.

The Daimons tell me we we fucked.

    They are funny, huh?!

But no Devil gonna crimp your style either.

The Angels and Daimons have cast lots for Humanity.

And here we dance as muppets, not on strings, but with hands up our asses.

Imagine then...how free you really are right now where you are and I swear you will shoot out of your body like a phoenix and have a sweet release indeed.

For muppets, oblivion is our fate and when it comes, you won’t know what hit you, because you been thunderstruck and you be dead!!!!!

Let us rejoice at our coming deaths....ahhhh...to that sweet sweet coming release into the Cosmos, my clay shell spent.

My God, it’s gonna be awesome!!!

For Truthfully, we are all full of Stars.

    Activists?

    Haha.

Hell is created by karma, endless hells.

The fools of this world would prefer to look for sages far away, they refuse to see the sage within themselves.

That realization there should cease your seeking after the UFO and wake you up from the joke you told your Self.

Enjoy the full Moon and end of Spring, another beginning is here.

How can an undefined nebulous entity create reality?

Now that would be a trick.

Dan told you to follow the bouncing ball.

Let’s see who has done their lessons and is paying attention...

The fool finds the light and is caught again after loosing their chains by its own vain reflections on the cave wall.

Follow the ball and the ray of light back to its source.

You can dispense with your self created dramas when you like.

Follow the ray of light back in reverse...

    Paying attention?

Once Bodhi is done with you, your pretty must left as ashes in the corner of the room.

Ahhhh, I love the smell of burning flesh. Sweetest aroma in these parts.

    Saw your interview AP...interesting.

I love Grant says oh yah, that OMF, unless you go way back he says, STAY AWAY, it’s intense he says.

Sorry Grant, talking to a guy with a mask on isn’t intense?!

I see some long time followers of Grant don’t like it, it’s notwhat they like, bahahahahaha.

    Bahahahahaha.

Yes, let’s only listen to theories we like and from people we like. Of course he avoids where he should be, but I must accept all are doing what they will.

All seems right with the world.

Sorry Dan, I chased all the loons away.

I was really only speaking to the sleeping Lions.

I’m sure you chased them away Dan.

    It was your fault.

AP, you didn’t take off your mask in the interview, awww, I was sincerely disappointed.

I always like to witness an unveiling.
