Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?
Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin
With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.
Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.
So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?
And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?
Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

YouTube comment on that news update:
Per this video:
Okay:
a. A janitor was doing something on a computer he shouldn't have been doing. (NOT national security related).
b. Feds notified and monitoring the situation.
c. Laptop gets taken away.
d. Janitor gets frantic.
e. Janitor makes threat that a serial killer was in the area and might enter the area to execute someone.
f. Director and agencies decide to evacuate the facility.
So now:
1. Why did the Feds come in with black hawk helicopters and were supposedly seen working on the antennas?
(Absolutely no reason to do those things.)
2. Why didn't the Feds just come in and arrest the suspect? Why not just add extra security and tell the employees and people in the area what's going on? Couldn't the serial killer just kill people off the premises?
3. Why didn't the Feds notify the local police? (Oh, you might have a serial killer in your area, but we are not going to tell you that.)
4. Why did the Post Office evacuate? Why not just extra security on top of the security it already has?
5. Is the serial killer still loose????? Isn't that the bigger threat to society?????? And if the serial killer is still loose, then why did you bring the employees back to the facility?????
If something smells like B.S., it might just be B.S.
I say this is still a Government cover-up.

You don't send in a Blackhawk helicopter for this. Also, you don't leave local law enforcement in the dark and have them find out by news media. Ridiculous story.
So the seven other observatories that were shut down abruptly (worldwide) on the same day were also child porn stings?
This is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard. There's so many inconsistencies and things that don't add up, it's almost humorous how bad this cover story is. Surely people can't be dumb enough to buy this!?
Even the people who don’t believe it’s a conspiracy, and believe this crap, shouldn’t they at least be concerned about how much tax dollars went into this? Went into a failed attempt to arrest one sicko? The lives it effected making people evacuate their homes for 10 days?
Cops find perverts and their 'activity' on computers all the time. They dont close down towns and evacuate people. Hastiest, lamest cover story ever
So why was the post office told to plan to evacuate the area on September 6th?

"If this were a movie it would be a generic black project experiment (aka) monster got loose from White Sands, killed a hiker and then hid in observatory".
From the media:
Hiker found dead on White Sands National Monument trail
@UFOSCME
This is odd - no name - no next of kin - no one mentioned looking for this person who died? Not far via helicopter

No press conference this week regarding Sunspot
No press conference? That's strange especially considering all of the ongoing attention this story has been getting all over the world in the news and all over the internet. Something is amiss.
-----------------------------------
I think that one of the most striking things about that closing and evacution is that the FBI kept the local Sheriff and police dept. completely out of the loop.
Questions remain even after the Sunspot Solar Observatory in New Mexico was reopened following its mysterious closure by the FBI, and the local sheriff seems to have not given up on getting answers. "I think it's chicken sh*t the way the FBI handled it. I have a responsibility to protect my citizens," Otero County Sheriff Benny House told ABC 7 Monday. "I think it's paramount that we know what the threat is so we can provide safety."

99 agreed. This is extremely peculiar, especially since it drew the attention it did. The inability to explain in detail why taxpayer money was spent flying a Blackhawk into the area when a local police department squad car could of sufficed is a tell tale sign of lies.

I think there is a problem up there and the FBI gave out a cover story (in the general sense). I retired from law enforcement and sometimes a cover story would be given out until the issue was resolved. The only difference was our leadership would come out with the real reports afterward.

That's good to know! The most credible feedback on what's been going on there can only come from people like you with backgrounds in law enforcement. Thanks for sharing this information with us.

I figured it out.
It was Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas crossing the bridge to the other side to meet her royal highness half way.
See the 2:45 min mark.
