Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

Hello, Cy, OMF II - Part 2 - Page 38 Empty Hello, Cy, OMF II - Part 2

Post by dan Sat May 13, 2017 9:17 am

    First topic message reminder :

    Portals abound........

Everything is a portal for everything else, and we are that for ourselves.  Everything is a microcosm of everything else.

The quantum is physics' own portal.

So, especially, is every work of art..... even every artifact, every bit of nature.

    But...... but what.......?

Well, we do need to move the world, we do need to turn ourselves on a dime.  There does need to be a MoAPS from materialism to immaterialism.

And this MoAPS will require all of us to participate..... personally.

There needs be a personal fulcrum..... it's not rocket science.

And, guess what, sports fans, it so happens........ well, no, nothing has happened, not yet.  But I've been vouchsafed a glimpse of a possibility...... how it might all work out for the better, if not the best.  Yes, I'd be a candidate for the theoretician.  Is that so bad?  I've already said most everything I have to say.  The major points have been covered.  A bird in hand is worth a peacock in the bush.

Why don't we just open the floodgates, and have a land rush?  Do we have to play peekaboo?  Well, if there is any rushing, it's likely to be in the reverse direction.  We first need to activate and tune our imaginations to the historical reality.  There will also be plenty of room for conceptualization.

    2:30----------

Of course, there will always be spontaneous portals, but, especially at first, there will be a plethora of franchise operations.  Many organizations would have their proprietary access. For access to the wishing well, there will be groups like the make-a-wish foundation.  Longer term, it would become more like renting sunlight, however.  At that point, the return trip would be more limited.

Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the Globals who seem to believe they have carte blanche to murder, mayhem, and plunder at will?

The confusing and continuing Arjuna chronicles...

(Cy, can you make me a topic, The Black Hole Soul)

Morality is a just a shadow of right action. Right action isn’t the highest degree of morality any more than agapè is the highest degree of love. When you understand and are able to act from right action, morality is no longer necessary; it’s instantly obsolete and discarded.

This is at the heart of the Bhagavad Gita.

Arjuna, as a moral creature, throws down his weapon and refuses to launch a war.

As he, I threw my arms down and refused to fight.

Krishna converts him to a creature of right action by freeing him from delusion and Arjuna takes up his weapon and launches the war.

This is what I have realized also. I found a sword inside as well. I’m at war now, not within. I’m not always nice and peaceful. Of course it is a story always happening. Right action has nothing to do with right or wrong, good or evil, naughty or nice. It is without altruism or compassion. Morality is the set of rules and regulations that you use to navigate through life when you’re still trying to steer your ship rather than let it follow the flow.

Go with the flow always, you can’t fight it. I am overcome.

Happiness, Compassion are dream concepts for an ego trying to realize itself, but self can’t know no-self.

I would make a good assassin with this understanding, no thanks Wink

    COMING TO MEET

Every instance of recognizing a teacher
is an authorization of spiritual power.
The most important one of these, and the
only absolutely necessary one on the
way to complete realization, is recognizing
    yourself as your own teacher.

The connecting of the princess to the LV shootings was a joke that was taken too far, as people started taking it seriously, and it got out of hand.

Atheists and agnostics who have a “near-death” experience often end up converting afterwards. Dr. Eben Alexander is one example

There were the ‘Farm kids’.......... growing up, we heard stories...... one of the aunties had been been left to babysit.  She’d been working on a paper project in the playroom, when it came time to make lunch.  She’d put away the scissors, but hadn’t noticed when it grew quiet in the playroom.  Then a thought popped into her head....... she’d forgotten to put away the bottle of glue.

Fayetteville.......?  Pandora forgot to put away the glue bottle.  Or was it on purpose?

The goodie bag.......?  No question about it.

    7:10…………………

The kids……………?  Please, ma, more glue.

    11:20………………

I was booked for the 1:05 out of FAY.  I might not make it.  I’ve definitely overstayed my welcome with Chris and Ivonne.  Sophie.....?  Not sure, yet.  Chris needs to put the brakes on.  Me.......?  Not so much...... and someone needs to hold down the Fort.

Apparitions are often associated with traumatic events.  Sophie may be no exception.  They are premonitional, and may also be inducing of continuity, when continuity seems most tenuous.

This is operation chicken little...... feet on the ground, pied à tèrre.  You have to start somewhere.  Did Sophie volunteer?  That’s a question.

Ron suggests that I check out of the motel.  Comfort is not a first priority.

What is the priority..... besides you know what?  The MoAPS is near the top of the list, and Kip would be the go to guy, if he’s willing.

Next priority.......?  Talk to a theologian on the same topic.  That’s why I came to NC, in the first place.  I’d better not talk to her without consulting with Chris, first.

In the meantime, Kevin is convinced that I’m trying to sabotage his Hollywood project. Let me think.......? I continue to act under the impression that I’m in charge of disclosure, and both the NYT and Hollywood would be the critical elements in that process. Both Kevin and Ron have reassured me that I needn’t worry about their being preemptive. I accept those assurances, so I don’t know why I would have any further issues with Kev.

    Very good Dan.

Yo Kevin, keep on keeping on.

Don’t let the man get you down.

UT, you can’t shake the ego, nor do you really need to, it’s not you though, it’s your persona here, but you do seem to have to enact a passion play leading to the death of the Self on The Hero’s Journey. You burn into a pile of ashes in your heart.

But then you can have some fun. You can put your ego back on when needed. You still need to bring home the bacon.

But I am abiding non-dual Awareness.

Dan ridiculously comments ‘fear’ in light of this, listen to no one, this awareness will terrify people. They will have incredibly strong negative reactions until you learn to walk away and keep quiet.

Well, I wasn’t born to be quiet. I can point people to this. I like to help people find this. I love it actually. I feel whole sharing freely what I realized.

You are enough and you are your own teacher in the end.

    It’s a wonderful realization.

From this awareness, spiritual attainment means nothing. Mystical experience is not realization.

There is a good metaphorical description of this process using a movie theatre. Everyone is chained in the theatre with no locks watching life on the screen. They think they are the character on the screen.  But you can get up and learn the movie isn’t real, remove your chains, but you then have to ‘leave’ the theatre, I’m talking about when you are ready to leave the theatre, that’s Realization.

One question leads to this, ask it over and over and work it out.

    Ask yourself, who am I?

What I describe is not knowledge you attain, but a stripping away of what is untrue. Pretty much the same road to realization for all of us, death of hope and fear, Love is the last to go, the driving forces of personality.

Love is war. But Agape Love is another thing. The love a tree has for you by breathing kind of Love is what we are.

The Tao of Human Beings is peace.

    The personality wants to transcend.
    It doesn’t want to die.
It is always hiding and looking for your weakness.
At the end, it becomes vicious, like an animal.
When you accept the Truth of the Lie of you, something else happens.

You can live your life in peace.

    Do you have any problems?

    No you don’t.

If you realize this, this can be your Awareness forever, you always have been and will be.

    Life is a beautiful miracle.

From here, what is heaven hell nirvana shangrila, just stops along the way, distractions of the self. Everyone is pursuing moments other than now.

The Truth is happening here and now always.

That’s what we have always been and are.

So anyone telling you a story is only telling you a story whether they are aware of it or not themselves.

I tell all, don’t waste time, destroy yourself.

Not a very popular story, in fact, it’s the one everyone is running from.

We are the People of the Lie and We are the Keepers of Truth.

The caterpillars can become butterflies if they like anytime they like.

Oh did I mention joy outcha ya ass?!
    Happiness on tap!
    Love for ants!
Freedom to be the Lord of Creation!!!!!

Sorry, been watching a Lot of Rick and Morty.

Those guys be woke all the way UP!!!

How are those for some benefits of waking the FUCK up from the dream of self?

Be gentle, the ego is beautiful, it’s just infected with thoughts.

You are not those crazy ass thoughts and you are.

    Shhhhhhhh.

    Listen.

The Universe will tell you everything you need to know.

God damn, it’s fucking good to be alive!!!!

That’s how I feel about things.

    (Forgive me Cy)

Yes, I am attempting to take my chicken little game up a notch or two, and, yes, the nevada speculation is probably not uncorrelated with this revised initiative.

I guess, in Eric’s book, I’m mostly just an agent provocateur, egotistically attempting to upset the natural order, which order might even include Kim dropping a weapon on Guam, if that’s already in the cards.

I guess, in Eric’s book, I’m mostly just an agent provocateur, egotistically attempting to upset the natural order, which order might even include Kim dropping a weapon on Guam, if that’s already in the cards.

The Chinese are handling Kim. The Chinese will be held responsible globally if they do not handle Kim and keep the little weasel from vaporizing anyone or lighting off an emp. We have a different set of problems to attend to. That is reining in the deep state, shadow gov, and corruption tearing the nation apart from within to construct a global government on its ashes.

Good to hearing a grain of truth or is that CYA now Dan? quote: ...the Nevada speculation? unquote.

    Thank you, Cy.

I’m gratified to know that, at least, someone takes the R&D show with less than a grain of salt. Forty years of effort might actually pay off.

    Cy,

I aim to please.  Whichever you prefer.  Anytime you’d like to dance, just let me know.  I’m not naturally a wallflower, and it doesn’t seem that you are either.

In the meantime, TBMK, the show goes on.  I remain in Fayetteville, awaiting further instructions from the Princess.

There aren’t many people to talk to at the hotel.  Wanda is the breakfast hostess.  She pointed out that the gates of justice were opening in both DC and Hollywood.  Amen, Sister.

So, really, Eric, I’m just a proactive cheerleader.  I hope I’m not overstepping my natural boundaries.  Are there any natural boundaries, or are we living in an unobstructed universe?

Well, the obstructions, formidable as they may seem, are illusory, as I think Eric and I agree.  Everyone’s fingerprints are already on every piece of Creation.  But, if someone needs to prove that point, hey, pick me.

I remain instructionless.  Even Sophie’s not talking to me........ it would probably not hurt me to mediate on the pleroma.

When I pause to think about it, I’m only here to help celebrate the new world. Who could possibly manage to keep up with the passing parade, accelerating as we speak?
