Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

China Landed on the Moon Today Empty China Landed on the Moon Today

Post by Jake Reason Sun Dec 15, 2013 12:02 am

    Dec 14th, 2013 - North American Time;

China landed on the Moon today!

With the most technologically advanced planetary landing machine ever known to be built by mankind in all earth's history (as we know it), successfully softly land on the Moon.

But oddly, or perhaps not so oddly, dependent upon your Country of Origin and contemporary indoctrination.....

America today, remained virtually mute about the whole thing for many hours.  Until the recent hours (at the time of this post), more than 12 hours after the fact.

This Major Unprecedented Historical event, for All Humanity, didn't even make the Top Ten Breaking News Releases in America, while China was intensely watching every moment.  And so most American's for the most part didn't even know it was happening yet!

Since America today owns and controls the majority of the Global Media....there are numerous Countries people's were also not yet aware that China landed on the Moon today.

I need not provide links to reliable articles to read, as such are easily web-searched.  And if/when this post is ever read in the future, there will be numerous retrospective resources of information readily available on the net, to help make this Non-News Lapse more deeply understood.

As any future people will well know China landed on the Moon on Dec 14th, 2013.... The purpose of this thread is to record the News reality of the American News of this day.

"News" being defined as something normally reserved to inform people of that which may be considered important, distinctly unusual, historical, Politically important, earth changing, etc.

What was the American Mainstream Headline News Stories of Dec 14th, 2013?   The Day China first softly landed a spacecraft on the Moon.

    Post Edit:
I started to compile such here below, and surprisingly, the "Breaking" News Stories began to change in real-time as I was posting the Media Headlines in order of listing.  They went from having No mention of China's Lunar landing being included in the News Headlines, 12 hours after the fact, to a some Media adding News Releases in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th listing of Headline importance.

hmmmm, I think now in retrospect this thread will seem rather odd. Having little importance.  But while it was intriguing to me to watch the US Media display a pausing resistance to post Headline News of this event, which they well knew was happening hours before publishing anything about it.

If it were a US Lunar lander, we North Americans all know from experience, that it would have been Headline News for days Leading up to the landing.  And the #1 Headline News Story in all Media Sources and Talk Shows.

But ironically, at the time of this post-edit, this opinion piece is all already old news.  Sleep

    C'est la Vie.

    Excellent Jake!

For those who would like to know, Internet Alternative Media compilers:  Before Its News, Steve Quayle, and Black Listed News, among others carried several articles by their member writers on the subject.  Americans were indeed informed but most of them were Liberty Community members.

    Salute!

Yes, I learned about it a couple weeks ago through Russian News.

    http://rt.com/

They announced the preparation, the launch and subsequent landing.

And the Canadian "National Post" also announced the Launch on Dec 2nd. So I had been looking out for it.

NASA was also reporting it on-line, but a very small percentage of the public read their websites, unless something is published in the mainstream.

I was surprised by the US MSN's extremely reserved posture. I do believe that was by design.

Yes, it's apparent that the account and its various pieces which have experienced the same bumping are to be more accessible in the search engines via D-day.

I've been watching it/them at it. Interesting. I could probably study the key words and surmise who is expected to 'stumble' across it.
