I agree with David: the multiverse/many worlds are a prediction made by the quantum theory. Everyone else waves their hands to get rid of them (collapse of wave function, etc.) except for Bohmian Mechanics, where they are confined to the pilot wave. The self-interference of single electrons is pretty strong experimental evidence, but as David also points out, quantum-based artificial intelligence will be able to report to us on the reality of the other worlds. And if you believe in the reality of other times, then you already believe in the reality of other universes.
