Uh oh.... my bad. The online chart I was looking at for the chinese horoscope signs was different than all of the other online charts for that. Just did a recheck on that. It turns out neither Dan nor myself are Goats. 

My apologies about that. I guess some of the chinese horoscope sites have differing opinions on which year matches up to which sign.

I am with you on Carl.

I wish Carl Sagan was still with us.

My dad loved Cosmos and watched it when I was a kid. I guess I saw it a few times back then but for me it wasn't 'Star Trek the Motion Picture..' One of the two films I dragged him to the cinema to see.

It took me to much later to even begin to listen to and hear Carl.  Maybe it started with my getting the opportunity to go to listen to Ed Mitchell who came to N Ireland in the mid 90's and was doing a few presentations one of which was to the IT company I worked for (Think they part sponsored his trip or something) and specifically local community groups of Protestants and Catholics to try to help them see a bigger picture.. an 'Overview effect' of sorts.. or maybe a desire to make them take the trip to their own Samadhi experience.

anyway, when I found Carl again like all circular paths I was different, each time I came back I saw something else, new, more. I still do. I often listen when I am sorting the horses.

I did get OB's book but I haven't read it yet.

Smelly / Ack - I am with you definitely on one thing. life is indeed the middle path and wu wei and the water course way.

My philosophy is still limited but currently better than my physics, though, I have developed a love for both.

I won't and can't lie. It is still in my program as I haven't been able to do your root directory reset. I worked in IT but that was in sales and marketing - not the technical clever stuff.

I didn't do church as a kid like many people over here, however when crisis strikes, when any of my loved ones, human, four legged or feathered are suffering or at perceived risk I have said a little prayer, I guess the question for me is to who? or what? or where?

I believe Victor Frankel wrote that between 'stimulus' and 'response' lies a choice. I am still trying to interrupt the auto sequence but I won't beat myself up for it.

I guess most importantly though, I did find something I didn't expect. when I set out to find some kind of answers the last one I expected to find was a poppy seed. But it is indeed a poppy seed.

For me, now it feels like the best possible poppy seed, as I never had a poppy seed before.

Love poetry.. art too. Was introduced to and sat beside a local artist at a good friends birthday dinner the other night but didn't get a chance to chat with him.

I asked Dan a question once about T. S. Eliot and he said he had it right.

Although it related to a different excerpt from his work, I like to think that he was also right when he wrote in 'Little Gidding'

I have moved from the Quantum Underground where I met Jack and Dan snd Deepak too and a mysterious Zen Indian man who changed my life really or helped me see the way. All of it in the underground spaces.

Now I have moved by not moving into the Quantum Heart.

It is surprisingly powerful and slippery in a synchronistic time dilating way.

You live in between beats of the quantum heart.

I have no idea what that means but I’m gonna write about it and make it all up as I go probably, your YMMV.

I'm definitely an artsy type. 

Here are couple of murals I did. The top one is a decorative screen and the bottom one is a trompe l'oeil architectural mural on a ceiling. Not my best but just showing what's in a folder on my computer at this present time.

Portals, very cool.

Here's another "portal" I did in a powder room. The smaller pic (low bottom right) is the commode that was set in front of the mural after I finished it.

I got this book that teaches a technique to bypass the analytical brain to draw unconsciously or something.

Interesting, so what I write on omf is a kinda art.

My kind of portals.

Like little tornadoes.

Usually I’m just automatically writing.

Anything at the moment music wise or art wise gets included.

It kinda works. My drawing and writing got better, meaning I liked the result more.

But I just don’t have the gift.

I’m stuck or reduced to geometry.

Yes, it was that but not very good. lol  I had only a short time to paint it because the commode had to be installed before the new home owner was moving in. It's a rush job. But she liked it anyway.

There's no such thing as a bad artist and no matter what needs to be improved on, that's for you to decide. If it works for you, then that's all that matters.

Yes it was.

Very profound book.

Very Ancient Greek going into the depths kinda stuff.

I found other media I like.

I got some mechanical geometry drawing machines and a drawing robot, very interesting and fun and then I found like colored pens and clay and pottery and now silver clay work.

I just cycle through them, fits my weird way I work.

My first wife was an artist and now a nationally known paper maker.

I like to think I have a little to do with that

But my wife is a real muse, my current one, bahahaha.

Really, she’s a fiery Leo. A lion and a goat.

She just brings me things to read or stuff to draw with.

She’s so fun like that.

My favorite thing is having an art Saturday with her where she is quilting and I’m making something.

Good times.

Be fun to sculpt.
