“Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.”
—Robert Frost - “Nothing Gold Can Stay”

Fill your cup to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people’s approval and you will be the prisoner.
Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity.
Tao Te Ching, ch. 9, trans. Mitchell
Or said another way....
Dude De Ching 9
When a plan gets too complex, everything can go wrong. Do you see what happens? Draw a line in the sand, toes will slip over the line. Put $1 million in your car, perhaps they’ll tow it. Roll your way into the semis, they’re gonna fuck you up. Take any rug in the house, you’ll get a crack on the jaw. Keep the fucking money, they’re gonna cut off your Johnson.
Instead, say “fuck it.” That’s your answer for everything.
It is the way of the dude.
To truly lead oneself or anything, is to know when to get out of the way.
To see nature Just be yourself She won’t make it easy One has to dance with her Heraclitus said everything flows Yuh can come at her as an Orphic Or a scientific Promethean Best to face her head on Yuh aren’t going to get it straight She will send you signs upside down You will see songs in the wind And hear the dawn Take heed of what she shows you You will want to give it all up Keep going
When Heidegger famously announces that only a god can save us (Only a God can Save Us), or that “the last god is not the end but the other beginning of immeasurable possibilities for our history” (Contributions 256: 289), he has in mind not a religious intervention in an ‘ordinary’ sense of the divine, but rather a transformational event in which a secularized sense of the sacred—a sensitivity to the fact that beings are granted to us in the essential unfolding of Being—is restored
Hmmm 🧐......
Popper is against dogma, but I don’t think he is against Truth, as is Chivo.......
As early as 1934, Popper wrote of the search for truth as "one of the strongest motives for scientific discovery."[60] Still, he describes in Objective Knowledge (1972) early concerns about the much-criticised notion of truth as correspondence. Then came the semantic theory of truth formulated by the logician Alfred Tarski and published in 1933. Popper wrote of learning in 1935 of the consequences of Tarski's theory, to his intense joy. The theory met critical objections to truth as correspondence and thereby rehabilitated it. The theory also seemed, in Popper's eyes, to support metaphysical realism and the regulative idea of a search for truth. ............ Kripke's theory of truth (Saul Kripke 1975) is based on partial logic (a logic of partially defined truth predicates instead of Tarski's logic of totally defined truth predicates) with the strong Kleene evaluation scheme. Accepting final participation is accepting no final meaning in Dasein and I think what Heidegger means when he says realizing that being is ungrounded frees us to live as Dasein authentically unbounded by ultimate meaning or conformity.
To be respectable and conforming is denying Dasein and being inauthentic.
This is akin to going with the flow.
His is a philosophy of personal liberation.
He later opened this up and consider Dasein in history.
He originally was speaking about our unsettled age.
But the Greeks were more natural and were not unsettled.
But if that was true, what was Alexander all about?
In our times ufos are showing up as part of being.
Guess what they are reminding us about?
Dasein, which is moody being in time.
We have history in recorded time.
We stand in a special time in our culture.
Heidegger says the moves are over.
Our understanding of being has hit a dead end.
Nihilism.
The poets are the vanguard then and hope for new understandings of being.
Owen Barfield and many others saw this too.
We are in free fall between jumps off one bit of ground to another.
We are being in history in a body!
We aren’t free to change all the variables of our life.
Ponty and Husserl is who I will check out next.
Extend Heidegger.

If we stay grounded in phenomena of everyday living, we can carry things and stick with them without getting stuck with them.
