Where did all the Open Minds Forum members go?

Fri Oct 19, 2012 12:29 pm by Admin

With Open Minds Forum restored now for almost half a year at it's new location with forumotion.com we can now turn to look at reaching out to OMF's original members who have not yet returned home. OMF's original membership was over 6,000 members strong, prior to the proboards suspension, according to the rolls of the time. We can probably safely assume that some of those accounts were unidentified socks. If we were to assume a reasonable guess of maybe as many as 30% possible sock accounts then that would leave potentially somewhere between 4800 to 4900 possible real members to locate. That is still a substantial number of people.

Who were all these people? Some were average individuals with common interests in ufology, exopolitics, globalism, corruption, earthchanges, science and technology, and a variety of other interests. Some just enjoyed being part of a vibrant and unusually interesting community. Others were representative of various insider groups participating in observation and outreach projects, while still others were bonafide intelligence community personnel. All with stake in the hunt for truth in one fashion or another. Some in support of truth, and communication. Others seeking real disclosure and forms of proof. And others highly skeptical of anything or limited subjects. The smallest division of membership being wholly anti-disclosure oriented.

So where did these members vanish to? They had many options. There are almost innumerable other forums out there on the topics of UFO's or Exopolitics, the Unexplained, and Conspiracy Theory. Did they disappear into the world-wide network of forum inhabitants? Did some go find new homes on chatrooms or individual blogs? Did they participate in ufo conventions or other public events and gatherings? How about those who represented groups in special access? Or IC and military observers? Those with academic affiliations? Where did they all go and what would be the best way to reach out and extend an invitation to return?

And what constitutes a situation deserving of their time and participation? Is the archive enough? How exactly do people within the paradigm most desire to define a community? Is it amenities, humanity or simply population size for exposure? Most of the special guests have been emailed and have expressed that population size for exposure is what most motivates them. But not all. Long-time member Dan Smith has other priorities and values motivating his participation. Should this open opportunities for unattached junior guests who have experience and dialog to contribute to the world? How best to make use of OMF's time, experience and resources?

Many skeptics would like to see the historical guardian of discourse opportunity to just up and disappear; go into permanent stasis. They think that not everyone has a right to speak about their experiences and if there is no proof involved then there can philosophically be no value to discourse. I personally would respectfully disagree with them. Discourse has always been the prelude to meaningful relationships and meaningful mutual relationships have always been the prelude to exchanges of proof. In a contentious social environment with regards to communication vs disclosure how do we best re-establish a haven for those preludes? Is it only the "if we build it they will come" answer? Well considering OMF has been largely fully functional over the last four or five months this line of reasoning is not necessarily true. So what would be the best way re-establish this? Your suggestions are sought. Please comment.

Good guess..........

smelly doesn’t realize that the wired Earth is on a knife edge of psychic stability, where long range order shows up.

It’s called ‘critical opalescence’ I believe.

Physics ought to be good for something.

smelly is a bit weak in the physics department.

Our correlation length has increased to infinity.

That’s our eschatological patchwork..... didn’t you know..... go figure.....

Not to worry, sports fans, Ron will take care of it.

1) He was interested that the FBI was maybe looking for someone at the observatory.

2) if necessary, he will send his own hit team.

3) then, if necessary, he’ll let us know what came down.

I hope it’s not smelly.

This is called shoot first, and ask questions later.

Aliyah was interested in the Dinner Party quilt.

Here's my personal description of immaterialism:

Bad will always exist,
Until Good remembers that he's Good.

Says Good.... "why does 'Bad' get to exist in only 3 letters?"

Here....let me just remove a letter to make it fair....

'Until God remembers that he's God'

Dan, I’m doing what I can do, which ain’t anything really, the rest is beyond my worry or care.

Shutting down a solar lab is interesting.

I swear, if the the sun blinked off, I wouldn’t be surprised.

I’d sit back and enjoy the show, which I am doing Wink

Listen carefully muppets.

Boy, I have really dug in under Dans skin haven’t I?

Dan, it’s like that with all I spend time with.

Shrug, it happens, they love or hate me.

Humans respond very very well to the Dude in the zone usually though.

I was about to take a shower and I heard...

I think I know this tune.

One could say the best music and poetry is always happening.

I am also a poet of the fall and rising.

Always falling and rising, has to be a way through this mess Wink

Yeah I would say that as well.

BTW, meditation is not the way, it’s just a help to learn to be silent enough to feel one’s way into it.

How did you feel your way into IT?
How do you define "IT"?

I feel like I only find IT when I'm high.  Like last night.  I could feel/sense/know this idea/concept of infinite light.  And how infinite light doesn't know it's light b/c no darkness/nothingness exists along side, or within it.  So it created darkness/nothingness so that it could see itself, and thus start growing beyond itself as it shines itself upon the darkness.  That sounds crazy and absurd trying to articulate it.  Not sure what that "knowing" feeling is under an altered state, yet seems insane when back to "reality".

cw,

You might want to ask yourself whether the dog wags the tail, or the tail wags the dog......

Actually, it may be a little bit of both..... with feedback and all.
.............

Meanwhile, back to sunspot.......

Foot is still engaged with the #2 task.

A possibly related task is to arrange for a quilting bee......

The quilt in question is tentatively to be known as the matrix of belief/Disclosure quilt.

Contestants will submit designs for square panels.  The selection committee, so far, consists of Doug and me.

The next step will be to arrange the panels in some coherent order.

Yes, that's a good description of my other sensation.... it was a vision of source energy/god/consciousness breathing into this experience so that it could feel the contrast of our world. With each in breath it was popping itself into this reality to "feel" whatever experience was going on. We have a symbiotic relationship.... us humans and us god. It's wagging me, but I'm wagging it.

Smoke Signal, by Fredric Remington

Preparing for the Sun Dance, by Howard Terpning (Crow Sun Dance)

The painful Sun Dance ritual proves that a young Blackfoot man is ready to become a warrior.

In Preparing for the Sun Dance, the sage garland around the young man’s head is “from inside the sweat lodge,” Terpning says. And “he holds an eagle bone whistle through which he will blow during the ritual.”

To prove himself worthy of battle, this young man will have pieces of wood jammed through incisions in his chest muscles. Tied to the wood are rawhide thongs that are also attached to the Sun Dance Pole, which the young man swings himself around until his flesh tears away.

No props or tricks or swimming skills needed to float in the Great Salt Lake.

It's just salt.

It is your ego that fears slavery and relates to that concept.

You can drop all that Wink

Concepts needed to communicate, until they aren't, to find your way into IT.

Squares of our favorite disclosure animals and symbols would be fun!

Goat, snake, lamb, wolf, frog, owl, sphynx cat, queen bee and drone bees, sea turtle, panda, butterfly, fish, Aquarius, a flame, etc.

I guess symbols are very personal, but I think we could find common consensus on many of them, especially the Goat.

What is ego?

What is slavery?

We are free to do as we like as the flow directs.

We blaze our own trail going our own way just enjoying the ride.

Let the flow be as it always is. Wink

When you find your way into IT you can dip into concepts and abstractions freely as you please.

It's just a ride.

But yes, you can also write your own story, isn't that what you are always doing anyway? Nothing is original.

I will not be naming my daughter Sophia Maria, kind of got bored of that name.

Looking for something more fresh now. Laughing

Any suggestions?
